You did very well! I was impressed at how much you were able to discuss with Callie!

It was kind of odd him pausing to answer your comments in a decently rational manner and then unleashing on Dave.

There was taunting going on with both sides. I can understand the urge to give it back just as much as you receive it--(Why do you think I wanted to post on Topix so badly?) BUT we should probably leave the antagonism to Springhill, he is the master, afterall. And so good at it too!

You called Springhill the master, so I went to look. Dag! He's letting them have it in the same way they give it - only maybe harsher! Wow!

Oh yah. I'm not sure of a third of what he says, but the stuff I do understand is pretty harsh. I just kind of sit back with mouth agape. (No Jokes!!)

BTW I'm not ignoring your Progressive post. I'm digesting. Very Happy

i tried for about 5 seconds and then resorted to taunting, I don't have the patience. I think I'll make my topix outings less ambitious from now on, maybe one story per day.

I wish the original Shawn V Moore LTE was still available to read online. It would only show how eccentric this character really is. If indeed there really is such a person. He showed up in the News Chronicle, the Sentinel, as well as the P.O.. Who is he and what is he?

I suppose the same could be said for me, as it seems I've pi$$ed off A_C. Sad

Shawn Moore is a real person. I actually had the "experience" of his acquaintance. He is just as strange in real life as he seems to be on here. Very, HMMMMMM. whats the word......can't even come up with one to describe him. But he is very passionate about the things he believes in. He may be as far to the right as they come and he probably feeds off of everything that everyone types on here because he seems like a rather lonely person. He probably writes these letters to the editor just to read the feedback and gets a kick out of it. If there is anything else he is more passionate about, it is that he is a Steelers fan and very passionate about that too....almost every time I saw him, he had on some article of clothing with the Steelers on it. That's about as much as I can tell you, just from what little interaction that I have had with him, either just by reading his letters or by actually seeing him in person.

That's not entirely true, if the people I've talked to are truthful. One well-educated man who I hardly ever agree with on political or environmental issues has not had a letter published in the past few years (he writes at least one a month.)

The editors have a motive. I'm not completely sure of their thinking, but there is a method. It probably has to do with online ad pricing or some such.[/quote]

to my understanding, po's stand is that they publish all letters, subject to editing for untowardly content, as long as they can verify your home adress and identity.

if i am wrong would a po staffer please post to this thread and tell us all Exactly what the policy is.

Well, if this is the way we're going, I suppose there's no harm in watching.
