American Idol starts tonight in Philly. Does anyone know if there is any local talent that will be featured?

They should "mix up" the contestants from American Idol and American Gladiators. I might even watch that... probably not though. Where can we fit in the Biggest Loser? Oh wait, that's everyone watching...

Oh no I didn't! Shocked

ME,
I think that their was suppose to be a girl from C-burg trying out if my memory serves me correctly. The PO had a little article in the paper about her, I think.

Anyone watching (or plan to watch) Lewis Black: Red, White and Screwed?

It is airing on Comedy Central.

I promise you that watching it will not make you gay, jewish, or flaming liberal, but it will make you laugh and think at the same time.

I don't consider Black to be Democrat or Republican, instead I see him as a normal human being who is tired of the stupidity that surrounds us every. doggone. day. Besides, he worked for the Daily Show AND the Fox News 'comedy' show.

Offensive language is bleeped, but I love is explanation of why we use 'bad' language. (So we don't pick up a tire iron and kill someone.)

Yeah, his Broadway special that aired on HBO was better although Comedy Central now shows some uncensored stand-up and movies around 1 AM on the weekends. Technically, cable programs aren't censored by the FCC, but they censor themselves out of fear of losing advertisers and upsetting our prudish society. Thankfully networks like FX, Comedy Central and AMC are starting to push these boundaries which has resulted in much better television.

Anyway, one of my favorite parts of the Daily Show was the Thursday night "Back in Black" where Lewis Black what literally just yell about something that pissed him off that week. It was so great.

It was on Saturday night, right? Because if so, I missed it, but I did Tivo a re-air of it for this week. I love me some Lewis Black.
