It seems to me a grave injustice is being done to this man and his family. Any Chbg COB members with any insights?

I'm kind of on the outside looking in, but I do know some individuals were up in arms about the time he put into ministering to outsiders who, from the way it was said, were deemed less worthy of his time and attention. The individual to whom I spoke said certain members thought his time would be better spent at the church.

And here I thought religion was all about reaching out to others.
