How about a big leap into a new era -- the commissioners should elect someone other than Bob Thomas as chairman of the board.
There's no law requiring that the incumbent or the highest voter-getter be appointed chairman.
Ziobrowski ought to nominate himself for chairman and see whether he can get another vote. All he needs is one more.
Franklin County desperately needs new thinking and vision. |

Whoa, Whoa! Slow down there buddy! Everybody calm down. We just had a woman chair for the day. Let's just take a deep breath and make sure the earth is still spinning.
Sir what you are proposing is entirely too radical for this County and the tried and true theroy that "if I have been here longer, I deserve to be in charge." Even if the G-man and his mistress kept Bobby in the dark about stuff....he will get the nod.
"Coat-tail" Keller won't rise up against him and Bob "the politician" won't rock the boat so he can "politic" his way into something later.
Nice thought though. |

So we went from one leader and follower to another. Keller will follow Thomas like Plummer followed Elliott. Z will be the only one with independent thought - he is definitely the one that should get the nod for chair. _________________ Me thinks that the moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow. ~ Henry David Thoreau on hiking |

| In the county I grew up in our new commissioners were so incompetent that they voted themselves into the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, meaning the majority party didn't hold both seats. The new Dem knew that was the only way she would be Chairman, and the Republican had nothing to lose. That infighting led to the most ineffective county government the county ever saw. |

He is a self proclaimed "politician." How does that play into an independent thought? How does an indemendent thought trump two votes?
I'm not saying he won't have any influence, I am just expecting more of the same. |
