tread lightly, Coppy.
TauWoofer, it may be wise to remind your darling that you only save money if it is something you would've bought in the first place.
Of course, it may be even wiser to just smile and nod and tell her about www.zappos.com a wonderful little website that has some excellent deals, especially at the end of season. They randomly upgrade shipping and have a 365 day return policy with free return shipping. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

Am I stepping on toes? I'll say this, my S-o may be responsible for the Zappos.com boxes that often arrive mysteriously at our door at semi-regular intervals |

My boyfriend is not so happy with you right now.
I, on the other hand, adore you. Many thanks. |

He'll either get over it or die from it.
I do what I can to help those of us who are shoe addicted--- we need more than just arch support, afterall!
I love their reviews too, they are spot on!
Think of it as helping the economy...you're a true patriot, Sassy!! (you should get a medal) (nods)
P.S.-- You should see my favorites list, it's only a few pages long after I culled discontinued items and styles that I'm not in love with anymore. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

Oh, I need to see that list.
Check your PMs. I sent you a picture of something.
Also, a friend of mine gets stuff at www.bagborrowandsteal.com . She gets really, really nice bags from there all the time. She's carrying an awesome Coach bag right now that she doesn't think she's going to be able to return. That'd be my problem, too. I'd never be able to return anything I was borrowing and would have to end up buying it. |

| I stopped by the mall a few weeks ago - the first time I'd been there in a few years. I was shocked at how run-down things have started to look. There are huge cracks in the tiles in the floor and nothing about the mall looks cohesive anymore. It kind of looks like everything's had band-aids put on it. The lack of offerings there will keep me from ever going back. |

Plus, Green is dry; Capitol City improved itself by opening a couple of casual restaurants in and around the mall, plus they completely renovated the food court (and at least they actually had one prior) and added the stores you mentioned. Borders also opened across the street.
C'burg Mall reminds me more of the Camp Hill mall before they renovated; but even that pathetic mall had a food court |
Anyone old enough to remember when the Camp Hill Mall was a open Strip Mall? |

For those who have not heard, apparently a truck hit a utility pole and knocked out power to the area, including the mall. Power seems to be back on, but the mall is still closed.
I peeked through the doors at the empty mall... what a sad sight. This mall has become a pathetic blight in my opinion. Why even bother having the option at this point? Just go to Hagerstown... I drove around it and the place is all but run-down. The parking lot and access roads are full of pot holes. The main sign is weathered and falling apart. The billboard off the Scotland exit proclaiming that it's a "great place to shop" is nothing short of false advertising.
The movie theater is awful; the upholstery is musty, the floors are sticky and the screens are smaller than some televisions. You can actually hear the movie playing next to your theater if you go. Not that they ever show anything worthwhile...
Sorry, I just think the mall does more of a disservice to Chambersburg than anything else. |
The Harrisburg East mall was headed that way and from what I understand, it got bought and they revamped the whole thing and I hear it is really nice.

I was told that the new movie place is 10 better than Regal's (hoyt's) and that place is only about 10 years old. The time I lived in Harrisburg (Colonial Park area) I loved it, but now with me moving home as a parent all I see is crime. That is why we wanted to move to Shipp, but with gas how it is I will be stuck in Carlisle.

i used to work in carlisle...it's actually not too bad at least they have good food and the carlisle theatre lol
the movie theatre in camp hill by the bonton/borders area (forget the name of it) is reallllllllly nice. BIG. puts ours to shame.
i liked when southgate had a theatre. wasn't the best, but at least we had 2 options.
hagerstown's valley mall isn't bad and i actually enjoy leitersburg pike's movie place. they have drive ins out in their parking lot when the weather is nice....and campy movies and sometimes just horror movies etc.
i enjoy drive ins tho. but they suck to go solo to so i usually don't get to go them, unless i can wrangle up a group. BAH.... |

Trust me if gas was a litte cheaper then I would move to Shipp because while it doesn not have much to do, it is alot safer than Carlisle or HBG. But then again, what I spend on rent might be the same if I lived in Shipp and added in the Gas money, because I am sure that Shipp's average rent is lower than Carlisle,Mechanicsburg, Hbg area. |
