Where is all the traffic off of 997 going to go when they finally start to widen that miserable, narrow bridge over I-81??? I know the back roads
so I would be able to get around the construction. My concern is that all of these narrow, winding secondary roads, maintained by the various townships, are going to get congested with commuters in a hurry. And the really big problem would be excessive speed on these roads. The townships are really not fiscally able to widen these roads and straghten out some of the 90 degree turns on them. Some of these roads do not even have the customary signs indicating a sharp turn in the road on them. Who will be at fault for the accidents waiting to happen???
I'll stay in the junk yard for a couple of days a week till they get that bridge finished.

Welcome to the club on this one.

I think I've determined that the number one complaint with anyone, anywhere, no matter who they are, where they live or what they do, their number one complaint will always be something related to traffic/drivers/roads.

I already use Woodstock Rd from Fayetteville to Scotland to bypass the Mall-Exit 20 mess. If I'm going north of Ship, I use Whte Church and/ or Olde Scotland Rd to Exit 24-Fayette St.

Sure gonna be a mess for 3 years, especially come X-mas!

they're going to keep a lane in each direction open during all of the construction, it will be no worse than it is now. They can do that by first constructing the two new lanes, then shiftign everyone to those, then redoing the two existing lanes, and add a third in between there.
