Where did you find my story? I thought that was finally dead and buried.
What really happened was: I was drinking some "Singapore Slings" ; you know, one after another. Those are very tasty. Yes, I was on base and in uniform and no, no one told me that I had forgotten to button up the front of my blouse. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a cat on fire. It was sitting on the bar, right next to the bar tender. But he didn't see it. I frantically threw water on the pour thing but it just sat there. Finally, I took off my skirt and tossed it on top of the cat. Fire was out.
Next morning, when I woke up...one the floor of the SPs holding area, half naked, I was told what happened the night before. Apparently the cat shaped planter with the bright orange flowers was ruined by me taking off all of my clothes and smothering it and yelling "call the vet and the fire department you a$$ holes". I went quietly when the SPs told me they were taking me to see the kitty cat.
BTW all charges were dropped because I had asked for virgin Singapore Slings, I don't drink.  |

The public doesn't take the time to get to know you. Most won't take the time to find out that you had a few glasses of wine, were about to take a bath, looked out your window and saw a baby being drug off by a dingo, wheeled outside, beat the dingo off with your bare hands, saved the baby, returned it to it's hysterical parents and tried to return to your bath only to find you were locked out.
The dingo called the police in retaliation and when they responded, it turned out they were old friends with the dingo's parents.
Oh wait, you're Air Force...you had a few glasses of wine, were about to take a bath, thought you saw a mouse, wheeled out of your house shrieking like a little girl and got locked out.

Ohhhhh!
You know what? In Germany, they have these little creatures called shrews. The looked like mice to me. I saw one shortly after moving on base; scared the crap out of me;  I jumped on the couch, like a little girl(  ), and called my husband to come home and kill it! I was not getting off that couch until he did!
His coworkers told him NOT to kill it because all they eat are cockroaches and it was good luck that I saw one in daylight. NO ONE ever sees a shrew in daylight.
All of the other stairwell living buildings on base had a few cockroaches, not many, but a few. Our building, with 18 families had zero!. No one else ever saw a shrew. I kept having to explain what that thing looked like. 
Ever since then, each house I have ever lived in has been roach free. Even in Louisianna, for Christ's sake! I am telling you the God's truth on this one. |

'kay, so I was right. You do squeal like a little girl! Doggone Air Force. 'Course, my son at 11 is all about the military (and terrifying is mother, apparently.) He talks about joining and wars and fighting bad guys and I, a mom who wore combat boots, say to him, "Rather you not, but if you must, Air Force, Air Force, AIR FORCE!!" Hated working with AF prima donnas, but, as of now, they treat their service members better than any other branch.
PS- I squeal and squee, but I'm not telling what does it for me!
Now, to get the thread back on track before someone gets cranky.
