I am curious to see everyone's opinion on the college's recent troubles in the community.
More specifically, I'd like to see if there is a general consensus that a community group (with both the college's students and faculty, and community leaders and citizens) should be formed and what its purpose should be. _________________ G.Reed |

| I always thought that maybe the reports were blown out of proportion... is this true, or are the students really "out of control?" |

Yes, while some of the reports have been blown out proportion, such as the small riot, it's still an issue to look into. Basically, as a student, I don't want to wholly disregard the community as a bunch of over-reactors. I can see both sides of the coin and want to start forming better relations with the campus and the community. Universities should not only be education centers, but a service institution to society, and with a small, but growing campus like Mont Alto, that should start being a paramount issue. _________________ G.Reed |
