so, after some posting w/Torgo i smelled a potential for a new thread...

how many of you out there are Warcrafters? if so, what do you play, which side are you on and what lvl are you? are you a one-alt player or a multi-alter?

me?

my main is a 70 priest (disc build), undead, and def horde. i cannot get 'into' alliance, other than killing them if they try to get me...

my guild builds for battlegrounds as well at all tiers, so i have a druid going to 59 (50 atm)....a 39 pally (semi-twinked since it's a twink bracket), 19 be rogue (semi-twinked as well for the twink bracket)...an orc hunter at 22 to be taken to 29. and sadly, 2 lvl 17s (undead lock and be mage) that'll go to forties. my lock i may consider taking to 70. undecided yet. pretty fun to play.

i have a shammy (tauren) as well, but i may delete her. i hate her laugh. i started a lowbie troll shammy just in case i do 'kill' her...

anyone else?

I play mostly Alliance on Doomhammer, but also Horde on Zul'Jin. Mains are a human holy paladin and undead protection warrior.

I'm in a family-type guild on DH with some old friends from our original EQ guild dating to 2001. I started playing on launch day and still don't have a 70, though the pally is finally closing in. I like to smell the roses, hehe...

PS - You realize, of course, we're going to be the only ones posting in this thread, right? Laughing

yeah, i had a feeling it might be just the two of us...but i have no one to talk to about WoW...my parents are like: we just don't get it ... so i try to not talk about it. hehe

my guild is like a 'family style' one too.... all adults in the working world with the exception of 3-4 who are college students. it's a pretty small guild and we're not into raiding. we do a lot of bgs and are 'into' alts....hence my ten ( heh, i have some lowbies not mention, a war being one)....we like to get them to the 9s of lvls for bgs...my 19 is decently geared (be rogue) from wc hehe...i have 2 of the daggers from there, which does some serious dmg. my pally is 35 and will be my 39r and has gear waiting from the sm...she's holy. i do best at healing classes i've found.

my 20s hunter has crappy gear, but that's ok...i only created him to go out and kill ally hunters. very specific. i plan on hounding them and beating them exclusively in bgs

haha....

am really loving druid tho, i'll admit. am feral atm and will switch to healer hybrid probs when 59 (guild leader has collected awesome healing gear for me....again, loving the healing.

most of my guildies have been on since day one so i have a lot of catching up to do. at least val (my priest) is finally 70. everyone has 1 at 70 and then the others scattered. tho, i'm considering taking my lock to 70 to see what she can do..but would camp at 49 for a while for bgs....

saving for epic flying atm. 1/4 way there. ugh. i've been dropping no gold on other alts atm until she has epic. then i can make some gold and send to them....haha...

i tried to start an alliance alt on firetree as my one friend has tons there however i just can't get into....i may be too 'horde core' lol....i feel like my allys deserve to die, which *usually* isn't a good way to play. haha! plus i like the horde 'style' ... and the horde races are sweet imo.

wow...i feel a bit better just getting that off my chest. hehe.

do you bg alot or are you mostly pve?

I think you're in a prime age group Cool

I've heard that a lot of proposed "MMORPG" projects have been nixed because they believe they have no chance of competing with WoW.

You need:

A decent computer with a DVD drive
A decent video card
A broadband Internet connection
The game itself ($50)
A lot of free time
And $15 a month in perpetuity...

Of course there's a free trial... 10 days isn't even much. They know they could probably give just 2 hours free and people would be hooked.

Yeah, 10 days is nothing, just enough to get a taste.

I've been playing off and on since launch day in November 2004, and I've seen less than half the available content. But then, I'm the very definition of a casual player.

More obsessive types with lots more time can do what I've done in six months.

PS - Forgot to mention, the game is a RAM hog. Get another stick, even if you think you're good to go.

At this point, and given the price of RAM these days, I'd recommend a minimum of 2 GB to anyone; if you're running Vista, it's a necessity.

Unfortunately, today's 32bit operating systems only recognize about 3.5 GB of RAM, so the next gen of OS's will absolutely have to be 64bit.
