A movie about a nuclear-powered bus called "The Big Bus" is just mind-bendingly awesome.

No, I haven't seen it. I would never forget something like that.

Zucker, Zucker, and Abrahams (sp) are a terriffic team! Airplane was a great movie. Where else are you going to see Harriet Nelson say to a stewadess "Oh stewardess! I speak jive!"

Albeit, Airplane 2 wasn't up to par.

Getting to you question...Earthquake is very much worth you watching! Bring your popcorn and enjoy!

I love Airplane. Its because of Airplane that I cannot watch Airport, Airport 75, Airport 77, Airport 79: The Concorde.

To be fair I only tried the first two but all I could think about was airplane and I could not stop laughing at things that were not supposed to be funny.

That fight scene in the Singapore (or wherever!) bar is one of the best ever filmed... Amazing mix of brutality and hilarity...

I love the fact that the stupid guy in the cab stayed in the cab during the whole flight, probably listening to those two announcers argue back and forth about the white and red zones.

Having seen only "Sweeney Todd" in 2007, I'm just gonna stay the heck out of it, except maybe to mock Doctor Kird Ape's assessments.

I used to wait for great films to come out on DVD like everyone else, but then I read a great article about how important it is to support limited release and independent films in the theater. Even if it means driving to Harrisburg or Frederick, or waiting for a second run at Carlisle or Gettysburg, i'd like to think that it could impact Hollywood to make and even market GOOD movies, instead of the usual crap.

And it's so worth it to; travelling just an hour out of the way opens up a whole day of shopping and dining that you can't get locally, plus you're supporting quality over quanitity.

So, just thought I'd say my piece on that... go see independent films! Go out of your way and support the theaters that show them.

I catch what you are pitching Coppy. The problem is I find a lot of the "good movies" pretentious.

Another problem I face is my abhorrence of melodrama. So many movies to be avoided. Atonement...not lokely ever going to see it. There Will Be Blood, will be seen.

As for this past years flicks....I have seen very little. My queue at Blockbuster online has had a great films (Yojimbo was the most recent), but usually I end up with music videos, pro wrestling and anime.

So Torgo, sorry to let you down, but I have not seen enough to throw anything out there other than I liked Super Bad better than Knocked up, and Hot Rod is under appreciated.

Now I need to steal some time to watch Sunshine.

We actually turned off the DVD after about 20 minuted of Knocked Up. Just couldn't get into it, and I love the actress.

I have in my queue at my new account at Netflix No Country For Old Men. I forgot about There Will Be Blood.

I just cancelled my HBO and Starz, figured that the other thing was cheaper and we could get the more recent movies and ones we wanted to see at a less price. We'll see how that goes.

American Gangsta - nothing great, take Scarface, New Jack City , Donnie Brasco and Goodfellas and put em together.

Hostel II - Good stuff, very much enjoyed.

No country for old men - First go round put me to sleep, trying again today.

Into the Wild - Great ! All around good movie.

I think I love my wife - ok , I have seen Chris Rock in funnier movies (new jack city...pookie)

Disturbia - Pretty good.

New Jack City is his greatest comedic role. Actually New Jack City is really funny all around, though I know its not intended.

Ice T makes me laugh with his lines.
