Actually, my car's made of Nerf, so it's not so bad. Smile

Patience smatience; if traffic were the real issue, I'd wait all day. But it's not congestion, it's just people who absolutely must wait to turn left instead of turning left on Gateway like they're supposed to.

And a dash of self-righteousness on my part; touche. I just refuse to concede that I'm totally off-base in this discussion.

i use gateway...it's more logical and they obviously planned it that way. but why they can't put an arrow at the light is beyond me (the norland one)...makes no sense.... they're also going to need another light around the panera intersection (much as the centre at hagerstown needed and they did put in)....too many ppl trying to left turn against traffic. me? i use the light down by target or go around the back of target to use the sheetz light instead....

This just proves the fact that people are generally lazy and basically absent-minded. There are plenty of lights to turn left at, but people aren't going to drive ALL the way down to the light by Red Robin to turn left. No, they'd rather wait for an opening to dart out into traffic at the entrance next to Panera.

The left turning thing is an epidemic. Regardless of the fact that it's often easier, quicker and much safer to make a right turn and then find a spot to turn around, people just HAVE to turn left at the most ridiculous places. This includes the light at Norland. I've been pretty much made fun of by Me!!!!! and AC for suggesting people go a little out of their way and turn at Gateway instead of Norland. It's not really about my convenience though, it's about common sense and the fact that very few drivers have it (or at least refuse to utilize it).

I was not making fun of you I was just stating the reason I go that way.

I was actually hoping it was teasing... that would make more sense to me Razz

I think I've had my fill of traffic related discussion for the time being. Phew, Junk Yard wore me out!

I'll tell you all what; just to prove that a little whining can go a long way... for the month of February, I promise to drive respectfully, adhere to all posted speed limits, refrain from passing anyone, on any road, at any time; I will give the right of way to all pedestrians in a crosswalk and run over all jaywalkers. I will drive 5 MPH any time I even see a school bus. I will change my oil every 3000 miles, rotate my tires every 6000. I will look up what "matchbox car" means in old-person language. I will call Car Talk every weekend and join in on their rants over the internal combustion engine. I promise I won't talk on the phone (or any connected headset), apply make-up, reach around for something in the car, read a newspaper, juggle, sleep, eat buffalo wings or urinate while driving. Anymore. I will write an apology note and place it in my glove box for anyone who may decide to steal my vehicle. And finally, I'd like to affix a Jesus fish, a "Support our Troops" ribbon magnet, a pair of blue, er, you know what I mean... and a bumper sticker that reads:

I'd also like to stick some of those fake bullet holes on my doors and hood. Those are pretty cool.

I'm really disappointed I forgot that one; I would definitely have a Calvin peeing sticker. But which one? The classic "Calvin pees on Ford" or "Calvin pees on Chevy?" Perhaps Calvin peeing on a [seemingly random] number.

No, I would go for a sticker of Calvin peeing on an electric fence. Now that'll show him!

I kid, I kid, Calvin is great. But he should really quit peeing on logos and numbers and get back to building snowmen with Hobbes

OOOooo OOooo Deer tracks! I've seen bunches of Deer Track stickers one rear windshields. (Apparently, they climb all over vehicles at night like cats)
Should you also get a W'04 sticker?

I see alot of those around here.

Now here's a topic I can get behind; vehicular adornment!

There are a variety of great W stickers; my favorite has to be "W stands for Women!"

The deer track stickers seem to be more popular here than the PA favorite Nittany Lion paw prints.

Phew, there's so many good ones; should I start a new thread?

you know...sidebar on this....i hated living in state college and when i moved away i thought about buying one of those horrid paw prints...trimming all of the 'fingers' off a bit except for the middle...so that when i drove away last i'd be giving happy valley the finger as i left.

hehe.

i didn't do it...but it was tempting, i'll admit....
