I like Jim's Market; if you want local flavor and nostalgia, I'm not sure why more people don't mention this place. This is one of those instances where I appreciate simplicity rather than deride it. It's great for localvores, fresh sandwiches, and I particularly like the Mennonite soft pretzels.
