In Shipp, is it fair, good or great? I need a good Deli so I can get a Pastrmi or Corned Beef sandwich without driving to Mrs Deli in Linglestown

Kathy's is certainly the best in Shippensburg. But that's not saying much because if you're craving pastrami or corned beef, then you're out of luck... Kathy's is run of the mill, south-central PA turkey/ham/roast beef (and I'm not sure many people around here even like roast beef). Not sure you can get anything outside the norm when it comes to sandwiches in the area.

They do have a website...

I've heard 7 P's across from Emily's is supposed to be excellent, but their hours are perhaps the worst EVER (closed at 5pm weekdays, closed all day saturday and sunday). I'll try to get over there for lunch someday.

To be fair (and as a counterpoint to some of my negativity toward the Butcher Shoppe) the Big Oak Cafe has excellent sandwiches that are unique, original and delicious.

Still can't help you with pastrami though; the only local place I know of that even offers a pastrami sandwich is The Cottage... it's good, but I found it to be a little tough. I like it on their Pittsburgher sandwich, which is sort of a toned-down version of the Primanti.

I had boycotted the Cottage for a while due to their inconsistent hours and (like Big Oak Cafe) cramped quarters, but I'll wander in on a day when it's not too crowded for a below-average-but-better-than-most beer selection and a sandwich.

Well I guess I will either drive to HBG to go to Mrs. Deli or to Chevy Chase MD which has a great little Deli .. Someday I will make it to Jerry's Famous Deli or Carnegie inNY
