well, i went w/a wedgewoodish blue, all white trim and the floor is white. a year or so ago i saw an ad for ethan allen's hemingway collection and it sort of acted as the catalyst for all this. the room they had was a very, very bright green with all white trim/floors. so i did the green in my library. then a light light blue w/white in living room. um....bright yellow in kitchen. and then chocolate for the hallway w/white steps (all wood floors in house...the living room and library are the only ones i didn't paint...those were nice hardwood..the rest were 'meh')....so....needless to say, i'm getting sick of painting. i like choosing colors tho. but it takes me a while. the color of the room is "porcelain blue" from the eddie bauer collection at lowes. i liked how it looked. sort of gray/blue/purple but very light and not too purple/not too gray....if that makes sense.
it was "just right" as baby bear would say.
my computer room will be lemony yellow w/white trim/floor and i'm considering a pumpkinish orange for the other computery room.
lol.
i luv me colors. that's fo'sho! |

I like colors too, but we're actually going room by room tearing out the plaster, insulating, putting in drywall and then I get to paint...so far we've only got one bathroom almost done. (we suck)
H won't let me touch the woodwork. It's really dark stain and 20 gazillion coats of varnish and there's no rhyme or reason to it. The pantry and stairs are chestnut and the doors are some soft wood most likely pine and the floors are fir and *really* need to be dealt with. Uneven, some areas bowed, I really want to do something about the dirt in between each floorboard, but every time I mention pulling up the boards and relaying them (and cleaning them) I get the "U R insane" look.
Granted, I probably am, but he could refrain from the looks, darnit! _________________ Nevermind. |

houses aren't so wonderful. Its always mow the lawn, change the lightbulb in the downstairs bathroom, repaint the back bathroom and living room. bring this chair to the family room. Houses=work= _________________ "Nothing is more precious to me than the smile of a child"- Joseph Stalin |

Today I will see my parents for the first time in 2 years. Sadly, this week will more than likely be the last visit that we will have.
We will be doing some touristy things! Watch out! My Dad takes his camera with him everywhere! _________________ You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks. |

Today, I woke up got the boy up and fed and medicated and on his way, dealt with all the animals and went straight to the desk top to check in here and then play WarCrack.
(Cookie, you suck something)
H is jealous cause we only had one trial cd (and I'm using it) so we will probably buy the game today (if I actually move my butt from the chair!)
I have discovered that I no longer type as well on a regular (non laptop) keyboard and correcting typos is irritating (I've had 5 errors already in this post!) and my mouse feels big and clunky and I can't get comfortable in my seat and my monitor's position feels weird and to look at it dead on I have to hike my chair up to where only my tippy toes are on the floor.
So, thanks to Cookie, I have to buy another chair (preferably big and over stuffed and a new desk and mouse and keyboard and while I'm at it, I need a graphics card 'cause I only have on board and it isn't enough to play Titan quest. I need to reconfigure the 'computer' room and get more dog beds because I have a pack laying at my feet AND of course, I alos have to get the dumb ol' WarCrack game and give up something like one of my son's medicines (j/k) so that I can pay a minimum of $15 in perpetuity.
Oh and I also have to butt heads with H to determine how we are going to play different games at the same time without irritating each other by jacking our own sound up to drown out the other's game (does that make sense?)
Thanks Cookie.

Don't skimp on that. The right chair will help prevent those blood clots that form in your legs after your start spending 8 or 10 hours a day sitting in one position.

yup...i knew i had a problem when i was at target looking for a comfy computer desk chair. my mom's like why? i'm like (semi-long pause): cuz....
yeah. not admitting it's because you sit too long for a game and your @ss hurts is usually not good.
welcome to the world of warcrack, my cybersistah.
PM me your server and name...i'll totally pop over and say hi sometime
today: i have tried the little debbie "double decker" oatmeal pie from the vending machine. sheerly out of morbid curiousity. they don't lie...it's totally mammoth. but i'd rather have had my butterscotch krimpets that they were out of.
and i'm still sick. bah. /blows nose and coughs.... |
