It also seems to be unconstitutional. I don't know; we go through great lengths to keep sanctioned prayer out of schools (although I know that the Tuscarora School District says the lord's prayer before every board meeting, and probably every other Podunk district in this county too) yet the Parks and Recreation department sponsors a Christian concert complete with "praise" and "worship."
It's not odd, or strange, or stupid because the music is bad... it's WRONG.
That's the point I'm trying to make and I'm surprised I'm the only one who is legitimately upset if my tax money is paying for this. We all just roll over, but it's crap like this that keeps Franklin County in the 1950's. |

It is wrong. Absolutely.
And we are completely within our rights to complain about it as a violation of Church and State.
Controversy ensues.
Crazy Zealots scream that religion is under attack.
The concert pulls in HUGE numbers as people feel that they must attend to prove that they are good Christians and the organizers can point to the attendance numbers as justification as to why we should have more Christian concerts.
Better to let it fall on its face on its own and point to the lack of draw as a reason to not schedule any in the future.

I think the states should only issue one, standard, plate....it's a lot easier to identify a vehicle when necessary.

Florida has about 50 different license plates already. It's out of control. They make a killing on all the tacky morons there who want a manatee on their stupid plates or whatever else they have.
I agree; each state, one plate. |

| Virginia has more than 180 specialty plates. Some of them are kind of cool, and since they're inexpensive, a LOT of people have one. I do agree that it's difficult to tell what state someone is from when they have some of the crazier-looking ones. Virginia has one that's a Tibetan flag, and it's really difficult to read. |

I'm a native Virginian, and the amount of license plates to choose from is indeed ridonkeylous.
There should just be one plate per state. It's just a friggin car. Get a plate and be done with it. |

Bravo.
I can't believe states allow it for the simple reason that people, including police, may have a hard time differentiating between states from a car that, oh, say, was involved in a hit-and-run or some sort of robbery. Plus it annoys me. That should be reason enough. 
Seriously; one of PA's vanity plates has a friggin tiger on it. A tiger? WTeff!? |

Everybody wants to pretend they're exotic.
A special tag is cheaper than tiger striped seat covers.
Personally, I've been eyeing some tiger print shoes. Mary Jane and Oxford TYVM

tiger print shoes. sexy!
i went thru a "i'm making my clothes stage" (sigh...artists) and i found this faux fur that was white with blue tiger stripes that i thought was the coolest thing since sliced bread (i was 17 at the time, bear with me...and i was a 'clasher' in high school)....so i made this twiggy style mini skirt jumper out of it.....sigh....and i wore it in public. double sigh.
should i mention the matching purse i made to wear w/it?
