I wanted to buy a speaker that will be exact to my budget. Is their a cheap speaker that has quality and the sound is pleasing in ear? What would be the best speaker for my pc? Question

Speakers aren't that expensive~go down to Circuit City and see what they have, listen, pick something-then go next door and see if Target or over to Walmart and see if they have it cheaper...my experience at CC in Cburg has great (the Hgstwn store not so much) and they'll help you out. If you are working on a budget just get a 2 or 3 speaker set up instead of the 5+ setups).

It depends what your budget is. Although speakers really aren't that cheap, there is a large price difference between standard speakers and high-quality speakers... and rightfully so.

Although Circuit City may be marginally helpful, nothing beats doing a little research on your own (Cnet.com is priceless) and finding a better deal online... which is always guaranteed over big-box retailers.

I'll never trust CC or BB mainly because of their outrageous markups on peripherals and cables. Besides, I think I'm even geekier than some of those guys.

Here is a list of C-Net's best, current PC speakers:

I like the Logitech Z-2300 speakers... they're $96.00 on Amazon.com and $156.00 at Circuit City. You do the math.

Circuit city will match other stores prices. I got a GPS there a few months ago and Radio Shak ended up having the same one 150.00 cheaper took in the add and they called to make sure and gave me my 150.00 back. I was a happy camper!

CC will match advertised prices for other brick & mortar stores. I still contend online electronics are usually cheaper.

Not a cheap option but you can run it through a Home stereo system as well, if in fact you do have one sitting around.

I have my PC hooked up to Home Stereo and 57" TV. Thats how I listen to music and watch movies.

Gizmodo always puts an entertaining spin on all things electronic, like Circuit City:

Quote:
Circuit City Continues Death Spiral, Really Wants You to Stop Calling It "Circuit Sh*tty"

Spurred by its latest quarter of dismal failure—a net loss of $239.2 million—Circuit City has instigated a "comprehensive analysis of its business," which will "start with improving the customer experience in our stores," says new mayor James Marcum. (For comparison, a hard hit for Best Buy this quarter was a $202 million profit.)

So, while they're actively shopping for buyers of the beleaguered company since the Blockbuster deal fell through, you can probably expect more of its new Best Buy-like "The City" stores. I still trip balls every time I see the one smack next to Best Buy in midtown Manhattan. It's gotta be the most painful block in the city.

That said, the customer service in most Circuit City stores does seem to outpace Best Buy's in crappiness, which is largely because they don't pay starting employees as much as they used to, a few employees have told me. I still go there occasionally because they undercut Best Buy's prices with some frequency, but sometimes I wonder if I wouldn't mind paying a buck or two more for slightly less aggravation, at least until the cheapskate kicks in.

Let me know if you're ever in the market for a home theater system... I did several months worth of research last year to get my money's worth and there's a lot of scams out there at the big-box retailers.
