then.
i got side tracked.
by the sheer UGLINESS of the website design.

Holy crap, it's like that website's from 1997.
Fandango's the only way to go but... cookie. Don't go there. Seriously, it's definitely worth the drive to catch a movie in Hagerstown or Carlisle. |

Yikes!
Am going to hide under my desk now in terror. I can never go to a Carmike theater again, solely based on their atrocious design.
(That, and they suck anyway.) |

I am going to see it here in Huber Heights Ohio in a new modern Super Screen. 500 seats that recline, rock, and has enough leg room that you can cross your legs and still have 2 inches of room. Plus the Lobby has a Starbucks, UNO Pizza, and a Ben and Jerry's Stand. I guess there is something that I will miss about Ohio _________________ I am having brain surgery on 09/26/08 please read my blog to help ease my mind.

Make the trip to The Harrisburg Mall.. brand new modern theater and even the Hoyt's?Regal is only 10 years old. Or wait to see it at the Drive INN at Harr's _________________ I am having brain surgery on 09/26/08 please read my blog to help ease my mind.

| The Harrisburg Mall theater is great, but probably not quite worth the drive for a movie unless you make a whole evening out of it... which is definitely suggested considering all of the great restaurants in the area, as well as a great night life scene on 2nd St. |

I liked Second Street better when it was a slimy gauntlet of dives and low-lifes, and the best club in the area was The Vault, or as we called it, The Hate Box.
Now it's wall-to-wall lawyers, lobbyists and General Assembly staffers kicking up their heels at the Coyote Bar (formerly the Vault), watching Nickelback-cover-band v212, thinking they're edgy. _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |

OK, that's just about as douchebag as it gets, but I always enjoy a night at Molly Brannigan's or McGrath's. The "Hardware Bar" (or whatever it's called now) is definitely the place to avoid... they also ruined the old Wanda's at the Holiday Inn on the Carlisle Pike.
I also enjoy the Abbey Bar at ABC. |

Ooh right, Hardware Bar, that's the one they turned the Vault into... ugh.
Anyway, I agree, ABC is a neat place, and you can catch some decent acts there, but it's not exactly on the strip.
The Irish bar is okay, too, and although I appreciate the decor, I don't really get into the who faux-Irish-pub thing. Unless you're getting paid to play a bunch of rowdy acoustic music in one, then they rock.
Err, I mean, RAWK. _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |
