I think because of liquor license problems or something equally lame.
We don't have one down here either because of ridiculously restrictive zoning that didn't allow Olive Garden's sign. |

I thought they had looked at the old building on Wayne Ave just prior to 81 but some church out bid them or something?!?!?!?! _________________ Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and like it, never really care for anything else thereafter. |

Here we go again; more unfounded Olive Garden rumors as if Olive Garden will save us all from the culinary hell of Franklin County, only to be swept away by archaic liquor license laws...
Olive Garden was considering Chambersburg, but couldn't procure the liquor license. And no, no chain will ever, ever, ever, ever in a billion years open in Podunk, USA and not serve booze; that's their money-maker.
Aren't there several threads about this out there already? |

Olive Garden Rocks my socks! All Citys, nay any hub of human dwellings should have one of their own. Oh, wait, we should probably get a good resturant. I don't much care for waiting for 45+ minutes for so-so italian food (especially when I really wanted chinese but was out voted) and waitresses who are none-too pleasant and expect you to tip big (just because they think the room they sit you in is well decorated, even though they take your order, bring it to ya and don't bother you the rest of the time(that may just have been my servers) )
isn't there already a thread about Olive garden? _________________ "Nothing is more precious to me than the smile of a child"- Joseph Stalin |

I don't really like the Olive Garden, but I am pretty sure it is already in the works for the Chambersburg area (I won't tell you where). You can always go to the one in Hagerstown and while you are there you can shop at a mall that actually has stores in it, unlike the Chambersburg Mall.

The Chambersburg mall has a GREAT comic store. And theres FYE (which I like more than Hagerstown's) K.B. Toys, and GameStop- Honestly those are stores I go to reguardless of which mall I go to. But yeah its a ghost town as of late _________________ "Nothing is more precious to me than the smile of a child"- Joseph Stalin |

So, are you don't going to tell us where because it's a secret, or because you really have no idea what you're talking about?
I'm just saying, there's no Olive Garden coming to Chambersburg. Get over it everyone; if you want to live in an OG town, then you gotta be an OG mack (or a wannabe player) and move to one.
45+ minute wait for mediocre Italian food is right! |
