the blue/yellow contrast is lovely..ditto the contrast of photo #2...strong contrast is nice i think to catch the eye

Yeah she is 14 and built like brick house with the bluest eyes ever. I am always looking at all men when we go out as a family. Sometimes I will see men in their 20"s looking at I have to yell " Hey! She is only in 8th grade!"

nice use of thirds, compositionally speaking and i like the dynamic use of lighting. very effective. i especially like the visual texture of the blind's shadows on her face. very crisp and i like the contrast.  |

Yay! A Dalek!!
My son would prob LOVE these as much as I do, but I'm not going to show him. He's already complaining that his room is too dark (okay, it really is) If I show him these he may want this stuff when we redo his room and even if you were available, you probably cost an arm and a leg (or a tongue to replace the one you cut off) and now I'm rambling...

do you mean dark as in a lack of light, or angsty?
and I am totally available for commissions and whut not and as far as prices- it costs next to nothing to make and I'm pretty much make an offer and I'll accept it.

Dark as in I painted the ceiling greyish-blue and the walls navy. He has a ceiling light, 1 NW window, 2 W facing windows, rope lights outlining the ceiling AND a two bulb lamp and the room sucks up light like a sponge and water. The light pine floor helps not a bit.
It seemed like a good idea at the time. I've been trying to throw some neon green paint or maybe some bright orange on the walls, but the boy said that it would hurt is eyes (once he gets his mind made up it's incredibly hard to convince him otherwise  )
So...I'm trying to find a way to change up the room, without 'hurting' his eyes while keeping it in tune with his unique personality and allowing it to grow with him (as he keeps telling me, he's entering puberty ) Or is it too much to ask for something that will satisfy from a strange 11 year old kid to a strange 19 year old (think I'll be lucky enough to actually have him out on his own, supporting himself by 19?!)
Laughing, I love the way the work you posted seems to vibrate. (Don't get me wrong, I haven't disliked anything on here.) It won't let you push it into the background. I think it would be awesome to have it in a room, I'm just struggling to figure out which.
My son's room would be great...for him---but not for me. 
I suppose I could steal his room and make him sleep on the floor or outside or something...

I hate tents... cabins are the only way I'll even considering roughing it in. Nature and I are not the best of bed fellows. I could take it or leave it.
now for paintings!
My first painting focusing on the novelty of my new "canvases" and how cool the primary colors look together. aestetics wasn' a concern
My third painting... ever (not counting this oilpainting I had to do in art 4 *shudders* a landscape) I was in a craze and decided to saw a squirt gun in half and glue it on
I saww this guy in a magazine- I think that hes from the Sex Pistols.
my second painting. I had some crazy idea that I could change how shading worked by using red for dark and yellow for highlights. That packing foam was a *** to cut
