OK, so this has gotten off track... can we go back to complaining about the downtown and/or traffic? Razz

Now that would have been ok with me; and I plan on writing Alloway to see if he supports repealing the case law.

at the cumberlink some threads are being hijacked into abortion discussions.

so it's chambersburg's downtown traffic discussions about allowayian abortion.

nah.

blending them all into one didn't work.

ooh i forgot beer. insert beer there somewhere.

I would lke to see more inside play gyms for little ones around the age of 2-4. I'm not talking about the "Y" just a cute little place that is full of slides, jump bags, and maybe a pool full of balls. I have seen many on t.v. and would love for them to come to our town.

Like a gymboree or even better, a Discovery Zone!!...Do they still have Discovery Zones? That was one of my favorite places! A hands-on, child-targeted museum, science center and Chuck E. Cheese.

That would be fantastic!! We really do need something for the young ones to get out their energy and if it broadens their horizons at the same time, bless the owner's hearts!!

And so sorry, Paul, but any flavor Moon Pie (even nasty a$$ banana) would wipe the floor with your puny Whoopie Wuss. Oh yeah! I said it!

Though it does remind me of a crude facsimile of the always awesome Double Doozie that they sold a the Cookie Factory at the mall. Since ya'll don't have real malls up here, have you ever had a Cookie Factory? (Um, besides Cookie's mom.)

I will never ever go to Chucky Cheeses again. In Hagerstown we had the worst time for our Daughters 7th b-day. The computers went down when we where ready to leave, we stood there for 45 min, then told them to charge our credit card. They charged us CRAZY, we didin't get party bags and they charged us for them, also charged us for 2 salads and french fries that we never got. It was $78.00. After calling them a dozen times, they said they would refund our account with the over charge, and never did. I called back 5 weeks later and told them if they didn't get us our money we would have bigger issues. It took 2 months for a wopping $26.00 but we finally got it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
On the other hand a nice Discovery Gym would be great, it would get all of these kids that are already heavy for there age, out of the house.

Actual Chuck E. Cheeses I cannot stand. Shrieking rugrats everywhere. >shiver<
And it seems like there are always at least a handful of unsupervised, rotten little demons, trying to push the other kids around. (We used to call them Bebe's Kids...anyone remember the comic that used to do that routine? Then they came out with an animated movie and Tone Loc was the voice of the baby with the loaded diaper. When I was a teen, I acted like a Bebe's Kid---ah, good times, good times...)
I don't mind letting the kids goof around, but when your 12 and jumping around in the toddler ball pit with your shoes on and knocking over little guys, I'm gonna fuss at you, whether you're my kid or not!...and I don't even have a toddler!

It's okay to be a germaphobe, but I learned very quickly that germaphobes shouldn't have kids...or get over the phobias or relax a little. (I knew I was officially a parent when my son drooled in my mouth and I didn't throw him and run screaming to vomit!...Or that time he threw up in my cupped hands...fun stuff.)

Those cute little parasites that we mothers have produced pick up and commit more nastiness than we want to admit, let alone recognize.

Ugh. Mad

At least their immune systems are getting strong with all the exposure.

Yeah, kids are gross. If he hadn't been so darn cute and had talked back then like he tries to do now, I probably would have thrown him. (Have I mentioned that sometimes the mere thought of mucus or spit or snot will trigger my gag reflexes for hours?) Cuteness is their defense mechanism I think...don't fall for it!!!

And don't get me started on expenses!!! Shocked

When someone tries to tell me how expensive pets are, I must laugh. My furry and scaly babes are all treated pretty well and they are NOTHING compared to the rotten fruit of my loins...

In summary: there are far better animals out there (as I type this, Girl-cat is, yet again, stinking up the house) but if it's between cats and kids, stick with the cats.
