Uh... Her Vagina painted 300 different ways disguised as a flower?

I've smelled flowers, and i've smelled .. uh... um never mind... *slinks off like a church lady*

SERIOUSLY : "Painting is the grandchild of nature. It is related to God."

that's one view of those paintings. keeping in mind of course she did more than 'pretty flowers'...all art can be deconstructed as sexual or sensual in orientation. and from there positive and negative views on sexuality. naked vs. nude. etc etc.

don't get me going cuz i lecture all day and can roll with it if you want.

i'm thinking you may be aware of it, from an artistic standpoint, but check out the dinner party by judy chicago. that's a more blunt approach to the 'vigina' art that thou speakest of in o'keefe (who of course is represented in the installation)

this is a trusted source for the above:
http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/exhibitions/dinner_party

(as we know, wiki isn't always wite)

I could take a lecture.

I know I am one that finds art sensual. To be allowed a glimpse into another person's soul...it's quite sensual.

lots of quotes via lyrics i like...here are some of my fav:

"you change like sugar cane"
Says my northern lad
I guess you go too far
When pianos try to be guitars

(tori amos, northern lad)

I knew a boy who would
Not share his bike
Oh but he let me go sailing
I swore that I could survive any storm
Oh then he let me go

(tori, snow cherries from france)

Twenty-five seconds to live and I'm falling down
There the darling goes, magnetics that are pulling her down
Twenty-five seconds to live and I'm waving high
All this white's a thrill
Turning just to give us the sign

And what I never had were pictures passing by
Forces that make your way down
And what I had between the things I never tried
Was you reaching out in hopes that you could grab
Forces that make your way down
I'd say that's better 'cause at least I know you tried

(mates of state, parachutes (funeral song)

Too deep for me. Not a fan.....

i think for me and music (whether it be playing or listening) the lyrics have to speak to me in some way.

the above helped me jar out of my bad marriage (or at least recognize that i had a major problem). he wanted a guitar, but i am a piano...so...i tried to be a guitar for him. but i'm a piano so why change.

took me a while to figure that out, unfortunately.

so, hopefully, if someone ever likes me again they'll be able like girls who are like pianos. well, at least appreciate me for me. how's that. lol....
