And to think, we have those rapscallions at Hanover High School to thank for all this, um, elevated discourse.
(Far as I know, the usage and etymology never entered the popular lexicon until several years ago, when a newspaper did a story on how the high school had to confiscate thousands of yearbooks because they had dozens of photos of kids flashing that symbol, etc...)

Fortunately, or Unfortunately, I have a teenage sister and cousins, so I was previously aware, before my dear boy brought it home from school. I try to not think of all the things they discuss that I don't know about.
