Eggs, over easy. |
Andddddd.... I still don't know.
Although consensus seems to be "over easy" I believe that many PA folks consider "dippy" eggs to be either exclusively sunny-side up or any egg with runny yolk. |
That's exactly what it is. |
 |
well that wasnt nice |

Oh, you have to take Coppy with a grain of salt, grain of freshly ground white pepper and a mug of ale!

Hey, Grumpasurauses know what they like!
I think Bella knows what I mean; I probably should have left out the "rolling eyes" smiley because I didn't mean it to come across like that... I just find the whole dippy egg thing confusing which stems from my brief stint as a server when I was in college.
I do like cookie's idea of ordering eggs "dippy" at every breakfast-serving place in the area and see what I get. I do have an unhealthy obsession with statistics and spreadsheets...
I like mind over-hard myself |

You ain't right.
A word of advice on the dippy egg research. You may want to take pictures of what you're served so that we have visual aid to help us reach a consensus. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

| Well, it can be hard to tell the difference between oved-easy and over-medium without cutting into the yolk. Over easy is usually very running and it kind of comes pouring out when you cut in; over medium is a little thicker and gloopy. |

ok.
so here's what you'll have to do coppy.
order TWO orders of dippy eggs.
one to eat...one to photograph. do a cross section, perhaps flash freeze it for maximum yokage photographage? then accumulate the information...gather it up and present it at the science fair for the school kids. not only is it scientifically gathered, but it will debunk the mystery around the myth of dippy eggs. education all around.
btw, to toot my nerdy horn...a little tidbit of nerdom on me....in junior high i was a proud member for those 2 years of the science olympiad (a state wide thing...not sure tho if it's still an 'event')....my 'egg drop' devise won 1st woot, even tho i didn't get credit for it. TYPICAL of genius, eh? otherwise i was the anatomy, biology and weather person for our school. hehe. i hated doing the weather bit. anatomy fun. biology...not easy since i hadn't had it yet. LOL...
anatomy came in handy for art tho...yay figure drawing! ok. off to bed. i'm SO tired and when i'm tired i'm goofy so i apologize for my goofy posts tonight. it's just merely a sign i should be in bed.
lol... |

"more better" is not one i have heard around south central pa until i got a daughter-in-law from out of state. she brought that with her "more better" and i told her to take it back to where it came from...it drives me crazy.
though i have lived and worked around the country (with my job), the one i had the hardest time shaking, never could sometimes and people laughed the most at was the "youwns". that is the one that i think is the hardest to get rid of, esp if you were born and raised in this part of the country. the other one that has been difficult for me as i travelled was the "red up". when i would tell someone they needed to "red up" their desk before they went home, they would just look at me in great puzzlement.

I'm from N.H. and we all say " will you go with me" Here most say " will you with" It's kinda funny the different ways people talk.
Lancaster in PA and Lancaster in N.H are spelt the same but we say Langcaster. The word wicked comes out of my mouth alot to. Not the bad wicked but. "that was wicked good" |
