I can careless if someone is gay, married to or are black, hispanic, asian, or oriental individual(s)! It is their life not mine. Whom am I to judge someone else, I don't pay their bills, they don't pay mine. It is not my life. I take care of me and my family and my attention, concern, and business is on MY family. I don't have enough energy to worry, comment on, judge someone else's life! Gay, straight, bi-sexual, race..etc. I don't care...the one horse town mentality and the small minds in it need to focus on their own problems before they spread their own venim onto people they don't even know! Put your negetive energy into rehabing yourself..ever thought your the "wrong" one? Let people be who they want to be not who society thinks they should be. Who do you think you are? Who made you God? The world would be a better place is everyone had true respect for one another!
I feel I have gone back in time 50 years with the mentality of City of Chambersburg! It is 2008 people! This Leave it to Beaver mentality is rediculous and a thing of the past!!!!
When your judging people you don't even know, try putting yourself in their shoes and see how you would feel if you were being mistreated, judged by others simply because you are being yourself. How would you feel is someone said your a trailer trash, country bumpkin, hillbillie, squirrel eatin, no dental plan, mullet wearin, nascar lovin, in breeder. Cause that is the majority of the people in this depressing small minded town. And YOUR judging others for who they love and who they want to be with?

Much of the discussion on these boards is concerning just that mentality, Cburg. We agree; and we talk about it here.
Welcome to the boards! Please read through some of the threads here and feel free to bump any with your own comments no matter how old. We're all up for new discussion and I think many of us would like to see Chambersburg advance into the 21st Century... and not lag behind in the 1950's.
There have been a lot of great ideas presented, but resources seem to be the biggest problem. That, and a large population that likes things just they way there are (and WERE). It's a shame really.
I seem to be even more critical that most here, but hey, things don't get better until someone starts criticizing... constructively whenever possible. |
