I was talking with my Mom last night and I was telling her about how homesick I am and that I cant wait to move home and go to certain placers. I brought up Mim's in Fayetteville and she said that they are closed. Now I will say that my Mom's accuracy on information has a lot to be desired. _________________ I am having brain surgery on 09/26/08 please read my blog to help ease my mind.

Its still in the phone book. God I forgot all about it. Used to go there all the time when I first moved here 28 years ago.
The one on the corner of middle street closed down. I remember the last time I went in there there was ahomeless guy eating in there that smelled so bad I never went back there
Hats Hoagies is now located in the middle street building. |

| Yes, Paul, they are still open at the Fayetteville location. I live in Ship and still go to Mim's to get hoagies once in a while. They did have another location in C-burg on Wayne Ave. for a little while, but closed it down. I guess the business wasn't working out in that location. |

I don't think that Mim's and Hat's Heroes are related.
I think Hat's is ok; nothing special really. Same with AJ's Deli. These places need to realize that some fresh bread and unique condiments go a long way. But then again, a lot of people around here just don't care one way or another, so maybe it's not worth offering new things to a public that wants nothing to do with it. |

Mims was on the corner of middle street for a while. I remember the kids from Coldbrook school would go in to get snacks after school Then they left there and went to Wayne Ave Then some other guy named Hat (?) bought the building for his own sub shop.
Didn't mean to make it sound like the two were related. |
