'cause she isn't really blue
Someone help me think of a punny name to put on AKC papers.
Don't have the dog yet, but know it will be a brindle male Dane. (toying with the idea of two, because there is one breeder that really want a baby from, but he doesn't even know if the mating was successful...or if I'm worthy)
I used to be good at this sort of thing, but for the life of me I can't think of a registration name or a call name!
c'mon clever people, but those snarky brains to good use!! _________________ If, lately, it seems as though I've been unreasonable, it is only because I have lost all reason. |

For inspiration,
here's mom
and dad
Above are the parents of one the pups I'm considering.
At the moment, I'm not planning to crop the ears, but I need to double check with the breeder---some I've spoken to insist on it.
I'm trying to be level-headed, but I'm just so excited!
And this is a link to another gorgeous girl (actually all of her kennel mates are knock-outs!) I would take one of these puppies even it had six legs and two buttholes!! Don't ask me why I love them so, I couldn't give you a specific reason.

I always wanted a Dane until I was told that they have a very short life span of about 8 years. Is this true, chel, because I never really verified it. _________________ Like Armando's stiletto, Me Delivers. (Offer Void In Sectors R and F After Curfew.) |

Unfortunately, all large breeds have shorter lifespans. A Great Dane's life span can vary from 7 to 10 years, which is why good breeding 'stock' (I hate that terminology!) health screening and health management are important.
Don't get me wrong, I love my mutts, I just feel like it's time for the privilege of sharing my home with a Dane, also.
Besides, even though I'm only five foot, I have always had a special place in my heart for the big guys!! _________________ If, lately, it seems as though I've been unreasonable, it is only because I have lost all reason. |

Update: The breeder is sending me more recent pictures of the three males I'm interested in. She has Hughesnet though and loses signal a bunch, poor woman's only choices were Hughes or dial up. (The Horror!!)
So, DH confessed that he always has wanted a dog named Dog.
sigh. I conceded.
But we still need some good suggestions for a paper name and all of a sudden everybody hates me and won't give me any suggestions (yeah, I'm talking about ya'll---all you disgustingly clever people and not a single suggestion)...what'd I do??!
Look at this face!!

Wow What a BIG cutie.
Look in the Phone book or the Atlas. It sounds weird but just look, you'll find some good ones. |

So, anyway, I didn't get my puppy.
We now have this ugly, 15 month old, barely trained, lip-smacking, 120 pound Dane female named Tzeba, that has broken my foot (she stepped on it) terrorized our 7 year old lab/shepherd mix, Gamine, by playing with her (she mouthed Gamine's head, causing it to momentarily disappear and drenching her in drool at the same time) she stalks and devours my tupperware and other plastic containers, her dishes are not good enough, she has to drink out of the toilet and the shower when I'm in it.
She's a kleptomaniac, picking up random things (like remotes, cell phones) and running. She likes to read over my shoulder when I'm typing and she can do this while sitting.
Tzeba also does not listen to Rat (the 25lb terrier/pack leader) which is an unforgivable offense, has staring contests with one of our rats (actual rats) and barks incessantly when they reach through the bars at her (even though she's four feet away and they cannot possibly reach her) and she is terrified of lawn gnomes.
(I think I'll start collecting lawn gnomes...)
And for you WoW horde people, you know when the Orc vendors sometimes say "Zub Zub" --- she comes running to that. H thought it was funny because he called her Zub Zub a few times (Tzeba to Zeeb to Zeeb Zeeb to Zub Zub, it makes sense!) until I pointed out that she must think he sounds like an Orc, which he kinda does...but he scratches like a Tauren.
Point?
Point is, I didn't get my puppy, which breaks my heart, because I have SUCKER stamped across my head, so I let H. get a dog that someone else had already ruined (okay that may not be entirely true) and now I have this, this, this, 100 pound PUPPY (did I mention that Danes are puppy like for 2 to3 years and I'm sure she's retarded so, it will be even longer.) that is all ugly and drool-y and has craps as big as the terrier that make dairy farms smell good!
UGH.
Point is don't have kids and don't get married and then you won't have to worry about people talking you into situations like this! And then, you can have a real puppy! _________________ If, lately, it seems as though I've been unreasonable, it is only because I have lost all reason. |

And it really bites that it is only 2:25 am because there is no hope of me sleeping and I'm ready to just get the day over with and I'm bored. _________________ If, lately, it seems as though I've been unreasonable, it is only because I have lost all reason. |

Alright already, I admit, I'm lurking, but please, PLEASE don't make me dogsit for that monster!
I've got a St. Bernard/Newfoundland mix fur-baby, so I have an idea of what you're going to go thru. Relax, it's fun. Besides, you'll save water by not bathing, just hang around while the dog slobbers then wipe yourself down.
Seriously though, she's beautiful. _________________ Personal Responsibility. Get It. Use It. |

Awwww! You have a really furry fur baby!
If you're referring to the puppy above being beautiful, I completely agree. Just what I wanted.
Unfortunately this is what we got!
This is it on the couch, right after it had walked through our door for the first time
And This is all of my babes this morning, since I decided to take a picture for you (okay not all of my babes, just the dogs and some guy in a funny disguise.)
