So do people in Shipp watch 27, 8, 21, or 25 out of Hagerstown? I know my weather has to come from Chuck Rhodes

I have some bad news for you Paul......
First of all, I'm not even sure if WHTM 27 is available here, but it doesn't really matter.... Chuck Rhodes no longer does weather and is now an on-air reporter for the station, as of this year.

I have some bad news for you Paul......
First of all, I'm not even sure if WHTM 27 is available here, but it doesn't really matter.... Chuck Rhodes no longer does weather and is now an on-air reporter for the station, as of this year.

What? When I lived in Shipp back in the 80's at my grandfathers farm we had no cable so we had to use a antenna and we could only get 27(ABC),21(CBS),33(PBS) out of HBG. If it was clear enough we could get 8(NBC). Then when 43(fox) came out and you turn it just the right way.. anyhow I need my weather from Chuck and Rick Wagner to give me my news... Damn Chuck

Dude, Rick Wagner's gone too; last I heard he was fired from the station over a year ago because of some contract dispute. It was big news in the HBG area. Now he raises alpacas and models underwear:

"Let's just say working at a fitness club and calling bingo on Monday nights got old pretty fast," Wagner said.
His former TV colleagues expressed little shock at word of the underwear modeling.
"The alpacas? Yeah, that's just weird," said WHTM-TV weather anchor Chuck Rhodes. "But Rick used to walk around the newsroom in his underwear all the time just to break things up, you know, when things were a little tense." |
By the way, that article is from the blog Central PA Gazelle that is sort of like a local version of The Onion. It's funny.
Alicia Richards is still there though...  |

While the event promises to be considerably more messy than its predecessor, Wolff said he remained convinced "that it will be even better family fun, both for participants and for spectators." He said bystanders will be provided with parkas to protect them from flying horse guts.
"Horse-To-Glue will be a chance for us to better incorporate Pennsylvanians' love for killing animals into this exhibition for all ages," Wolff said.
Previous attempts to replace Sheep-To-Shawl proved unpopular. They included the Kitten-To-Mitten and Bull-Penis-To-Keychain contests. |

That site is too much I love this one
(HARRISBURG) - The Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg today entered into an agreement that makes Cheez-It crackers the official Communion wafer of all 89 parishes within the diocese.
Kellogg Co. landed the contract, the terms of which are eternal, by edging out a competing bid from Nabisco, which had put forth its famous Ritz brand crackers for consideration.
Among the deciding factors for Bishop Kevin Rhoades was said to be the opportunity to use jalapeno-flavored Cheez-Its as a penance for confession.
Rhoades was also said to be somewhat offended at one line in Nabisco's proposal that read, "Everything tastes better sitting on the body of Christ."
The deal comes less than a year after the Diocese entered into a contract with Sutter Home that made Cabernet Sauvignon "the official sacramental wine" of the region's parishes.
