Is there any class that you would say completely sucks and you should never be?
What are the differences between the various races? |

i'm honestly not a fan of warriors...i've deleted all mine...but i think that is just a personal preference because i don't like tanking at all (tanking= the person in the boss fights who takes all the aggro and the bulk of the hits...different than dps....i don't mind dps...i'm usually a healer...) i have started several and they're fun for a few lvls and then i delete them. lol. my guildies and i call warriors "button smashers" ... which is what you'll end up doing if you play them.
oh, races.
there are a lot of differences. mainly, each race has a "racial passive" .. which may help out what you decide to "roll"...for example....undead have "will of forsaken"...which is a trait that will get you out of fear or anything that impairs your movement....which is handy when fighting a lock or another priest...since we fear ALOT....my lock is UD and that helps when she gets feared as well. they have trinkets as well to get you out of "fear" or any movement impairment spells but you have to bg alot to get them, whereas this comes right off the bat.
blood elfs have "arcane torrent" and "mana tap"...arcane torrent silences enemies for a glimmer of time...just enough to stop heals/spells (which can be annoying to the enemy)...mana tap "taps" into the enemy's mana supply. i use this alot against casters...
orcs have"blood fury"....this racial increases attack power. very handy. my hunter is an orc and when he gets in trouble, i click on that and pew pew ...some extra dmg....which can make or break a fight....
trolls have beserking which speeds up cast time/attack spd....they also have bow specialization (handy for hunters, eh!)...regen and beast slaying.
tauren have warstomp...which is fun...it momentarily stuns the enemy...my druid uses that move when he's in trouble and needs to heal midfight....saves my butt alot hehe
um, allys....i can only speak of it from the POV of killing. the ones i know about are the Dranei's "gift of the naaru" which is a healing cast they have...i look for it w/my priest or locks to stop that cast. hehe.
night elves have shadow meld---which is actually pretty cool...they can "disappear" much as conceptually a rogue can, however they can't move...if they move then the shadow meld can be broken. this is particularly useful in bgs cuz they do that a lot in the flag room of wsg and if there are enough of them it can be annoying. lol....that's a fun one, imo.
don't know about the rest...so here are links:
humans: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/humans.html
gnomes: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/gnomes.html
dwarves: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/dwarves.html
heck, here's the link for all of it....there is more that each have that is covered a bit more. like dranei have a jc bonus (jc = jewelcrafting.....it's one of the professions you can choose)....tauren have a herbalism bonus for that profession. etc etc.
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/races/
hum. guess professions is next, eh?
lol....
a_c....i'll look into that for ya |

Basically I'm convinced; I have to try it (despite several nerdy friends of mine persuading me otherwise due to my short-yet-intensive addictive personality).
I'm in the process of constructing myself a new computer which should be complete within the next two weeks... memorial day weekend put a real damper on otherwise speedy Newegg deliveries.
Then it's time for me to at least give WoW a shot... I played Asheron's Call nearly 10 years ago in the early days of MMORPG's and I was pretty much hooked for about a month, right up to the point where I realized I had stuff going on in real life and quit cold turkey forever.
I'm good at that, quitting cold turkey. Just ask Smokin' Joe.
So, what the hey; but I just want one character... and I feel like picking the perfect race/profession will be my biggest challenge. |

Are there certain understandings in regards to realms? (meaning: horndog kids in this realm, geriatric players in that one, noobs over there)
I feel like the one I'm in now (for my second char) is overrun with young'un's.
Everyone is talking about beer pong and some are doing the a/s/l bit and I'm a little ick.
Or is it more a timing thing? _________________ Nevermind. |

may be timing...to be completely honest i ignore general and, well, any chat, but guild and party.
Barrens Chat is NOTORIOUSLY BAD...but in a funny way....they make "Chuck Norris" jokes there ALL day...and the ppl who talk in barrens chat crack me up sometimes....sometimes i'll just say: CHUCK NORRIS!!! just to get the ball rolling if it's dropped.
in party chat ( /p for whoever you're grouped with) i usually stick to quest chatting...like....how many eggs/feathers/whatever do you need? that sort....guild chat we discuss PvP and gear a lot....and Q times for bgs....lol...nothing really exciting. lol....
i guess it's like school, there'll always be those few who think they're cooler than the rest and like to announce it to world (re: beer pong)...i very very very rarely pay any attention to chats, to be honest. unless i catch something and go in and mess w/em *giggle!* |

Chuck Norris...yeah someone said earlier
| Quote: | Jesus didn't die for your sins.
He died cause Chuck Norris told him too. |
And I did this snort/laugh without meaning to and had to backscroll to see WTH was going on _________________ Nevermind. |
