I can hardly believe it: an ad campaign by a national donut chain gets canceled because the spokeswoman, Rachael Ray, is seen wearing a scarf that looks too "Arabic," and thus is equated with terrorism. What a bunch of xenophobic, narrow-minded, hate filled, lunatics this current Administration has spawned. Land of the Free? HA! Land of the Frightened, Pampered Masses more like it. _________________ "One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know." |

I think Stephen Colbert said it best:
| Quote: | | Thankfully Dunkin Donuts has pulled the ad. People might have seen Rachel Ray's scarf as coded instruction to pass out iced coffees at national landmarks and give innocent tourists brain freeze. |
It's good Michelle "Intern all the Foreigners" Malkin is maintaining her vigilance. We are all safer because of it.
Brain freeeeeze! Be afraid...be very afraid!
But seriously, MAJ is right - we're all becoming frightened idiots - particularly corporate America. |

I saw that article and thought it was a joke at first.
Then I saw Malkin's name and knew it was a joke, just one of the ones that kind of make you sad 'cause they're true.
Malkin irritates me a completely different way than Coulter and that Ingram chick.
When I listen to them, they offend me, but they say it in such a way that makes me think that they're pandering. The intent is to rabble rouse and get ratings and sell books.
Malkin on the other hand, is like this little kid who doesn't exactly know what she's saying, but she is just so sure that it is true. She couldn't defend her position to save her life, that's why Zell Miller has to step in and defend her honor by challenging Chris Matthews to a duel.
She's just a sad sack without the wrinkles... yet.
Is that too harsh? _________________ Nevermind. |
