i went to a fast food yesterday morning for a ham omlet sandwich. easy order right. the first time at the window, i got a croissant with sausage and hash rounds, so, went back around and told them they gave me the wrong order and they said, oh yeah, we have your order here, so drive up to the window again, give me the next bag, drive away, look in bag and i got pancakes. i took both bags to the office and ate both of them. never did get my ham omlet sandwich. the c/svc is getting better...at least you two mystery breakfasts for the price of one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to vent. Hope you don't mind.

Ordered five pizzas Sunday for our church from a pizza shop. Sent some guys to pick them up. The guy gave them the wrong pizzas. Seems another church ordered four pizzas and he insisted to my guys that he was giving them the right order. (They should have called me to double-check the order, but they didn't.)

After they leave, the four-pizza-order lady comes in and we get a frantic phone call from the pizza shop telling me that our guys picked up the wrong pizzas. Well, excuse me, but YOU gave them the wrong pizzas. Then he proceeds to yell at me (there was a whole room full of people that could hear him yelling over the phone) about how he is going to lose business and I better get my guys back there pronto and I better pay him for all NINE pizzas. (Heck, his price was so exhorbitant on the five we ordered, I know we could have bought nine elsewhere for the same price.)

I ask if I can talk to the four-pizza-order lady. He hands the phone to her and we work out an arrangement to get them their pizzas and get ours from her. Gee, you might think we were Christians or something, the way we worked it out so smoothly UNLIKE the pizza shop that has Jesus stuff hanging around.

Between us and the other church, we had a happy conclusion -- it even turned out that the four-pizza-order lady was the cousin of one of the guys from our church that had picked up the wrong pizza. All turned out well in the end BUT . . .

That pizza shop did lose a customer. Our church will never order from them again and I personally will never go there again. The man was rude and nasty and threatening, there's just no excusing that kind of behavior. And since they have our phone number, if they cared at all, they could have called back and apologized.

First impressions are lasting impressions. Oh, and before someone says, Well, gee, aren't you supposed to forgive them? Sure, they are forgiven, but a lesson was learned. These are not the type of people I want to do business with.

Ok, glad I got that off my chest . . .

Matter of fact, vent where ever you like, we only lack patience for trolls and even then, they have to be pretty rotten.

If you would like to mention the business, it may be helpful to those of us who do not like to reward bad behavior and poor service, but, again, it's your call.


I know you have already posted a few times before, but welcome to The Soapbox, make yourself at home and if you need anything just ask and we will try to help. (Try being the key word.)

I apologize for my tardiness in welcoming you, sometimes I get away from myself. Very Happy

Krista Cooney and her husband Chad filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh alleging Philadelphia-based Comcast invaded their privacy when the check she wrote last summer showed up on the Internet.

Cooney sent the check because she was unhappy with a large bill she received for her cable television, Internet and telephone service, the lawsuit said.

The Allegheny County couple contend an unknown Comcast employee circulated an e-mailed copy of the check — containing their personal banking information, address and phone number — along with a snide comment. A Colorado man saw the image and alerted the Cooneys because he had been a victim of identity theft and realized the couple was at risk.

Comcast declined to address the lawsuit specifically in a statement Friday, but said the company has apologized to Krista Cooney and is working to address her concerns.

"The individuals involved in this incident are no longer with the company," the statement said. "Comcast holds our customers privacy and security in the highest regard."

The lawsuit filed Tuesday comes just weeks after customer satisfaction ratings for Comcast fell to an all-time low. The survey by the University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index ranked Comcast below other cable and satellite TV providers.

The eight-page suit said the incident began when the Cooneys subscribed last year to Comcast's $99-a-month "Triple Play" package of bundled services.

The first bill the couple received was for nearly $297. The lawsuit said Krista Cooney could only afford to send the company about $268, intending to pay the balance and a late fee the following month. A Comcast spokeswoman could not immediately explain its billing policies.

When Comcast sent a letter threatening to cut off the service, Cooney sent two checks: one to cover the balance and next month's bill, and the "My Right Arm" check meant to register her displeasure.

Cooney wrote "Robbing Customers Blind" in the memo section of that check and sent along a short note, saying, "Some people do have a budget ya know," the lawsuit said.

I think it is poor customer service that whomever misspelled Catherine Street on the street sign at Eight and Catherine has yet t replace it.

Of course, I don't live there and if it doesn't bother them, why should it bother me?



Because mistakes should be corrected promptly lest we all look bad!

My mom told me that her last bill said that starting in July certain levels of digital service will have to pay a DVR service fee even if you don't have a dvr.

H. really wants Comcast for the broadband. I wouldn't mind it so much---it it wasn't Comcast!!

My hate of cable companies is only rivaled by my newly acquired hate of Alliance...rogues kinda irritate me too. Mainly because H is a rogue and he gets to be all stealthy and stuff.

doggone sneaky people.

albeit digital is much better than analog, i agree that non-dvr persons shouldn't have to pay dvr fees.
also, i admire the ability to bring WoW into a completely unrelated topic of discussion...kudos...kudos

I was at Wegman's today and I was so impressed with a fruit tart that I went to take a picture of it and had my camera blocked by a hand. I was told that " If you are not working for Wegmans then no photos" then I was told to take my camera to my car or leave the store.

I've noticed the grocery stores have really cracked down on cameras of late.


I guess secret sabotage shoppers are becoming a serious enough threat.

Stores are concerned about camera's and camera phones because people looking to defraud you will take a picture of your drivers license, credit card or anything else you might have out. Once they get your number it's sold and the scam begins. Someone can be behind you and you think they are talking on the phone, when they are really taking pictures of your personal information.

The Stores are just trying to help protect your Identity.
