I was going to leave this to the residents.
Paul,
There is not a high opinion of Waynesboro and from what I read, the schools are somewhat lacking. If homeschool, cyber school or private school were considerations of yours, I would say the housing prices are okay for Waynesboro, but look for work outside the area. Heck, IMO, I'd go to MD or Harrisburg for work, but settle here.
Wait a minute, that's what we did! _________________ I demand euphoria! |

| No, Greencastle probably has Franklin County's best school district as far as facilities and funding as well as quality of education. It's also not nearly as out-of-the-way as Waynesboro; don't take my word for it though, there are plenty of Waynesboro residents who love it there. |

See here is the problem, my wife has a ton of interviews to go to. Most are in Hbg so we were looking at living in Shipp, but then we felt that maybe it would kill us in gas if we both had to commute to HBG. So we thought maybe Carlisle or Perry County would be better. But now she has a interview at CitiCorp and if she gets it she wants to live closer south. My worries is me finding a job down in that area. Harrisburg is chock full of jobs, but I have no clue about Chambersburg and south |

| The Waynesboro area is very nice. Very scenic and peaceful. I'll shop the Waynesboro WalMart any day over the one on Rt. 30. Given a choice, I prefer to go into Waynesboro rather than into Chambersburg for banking, shopping, eating. |

| Sounds more personal than anything. While no town is perfect, Waynesboro for me is just great. Having lived in Ft. Lauderdale, and Harrisburg, I came back to Waynesboro, its my home and hopefully always will be. |
