annonymous_coward...what you just said is going to happen...the dems will not come together to vote for Obama...thus, there is going to be a ton of McCain democrats...thus we all know what that means!! (This is my humble opinion).

Had I the opportunity to vote in the Primary last April, I would have voted for Obama. But I chose not to switch political parties just so I could vote in the primaries.

Mr. Chambersburg, what I see in the young and very knowledgeable man is a strength that America hasn't had in quite a while. He can close up the differences that divide us.

I see an economic strategy that will bring us out of this (not quite labelled yet) recession. I see him opening the gas reserves. I see a way to logically deal with immigration problems that are not all hispanic by nature. Additionally, I see what might be a hint of a new type of health care that would be affordable for nearly everyone.

While I don't agree with a lot of his "exit policy" to get us out of Iraq, I don't agree with Clintons either. When you have served over there and have seen the good that our men and women are doing, and hear what our women and men have to say themselves about being over there, then you may have an opinion. (That's my humble opinion.)

A side note: perhaps you need to look up the definition of rhetoric.

I think John is just trying to say he is frustrated. Maybe the primary has soured him to the Democratic Party a bit. I can certainly understand his feelings.

Sometimes we have to sit back and take a look at the big picture and really weigh our feelings and reasonings and when that happens, I know that I can be a bit put off by being pushed or pulled in either direction...such action has been known to make me childishly stubborn.

But that's just me.

the system of two main parties (dems and reps) seems obsolete. as i've said before too much us and them....everyone talks of unity and there is none. i'm not sure what the solution would be but too much bickering. and now bickering amongst a single party (dems vs. dems). it just all seems old-fashioned and obsolete. ppl voting for reps just cuz they're reps and vice versa....it's....silly. i think we need to evolve our nation's guidelines or practices or something...just to...well, catch it up a bit.

I try to ignore part rhetoric and generalizations (unless I'm a) mad or b) antagonizing someone.)

I such a sap that whenever members of the two parties work together on a bill (that I like) I fire off an email telling them that I think they did a good thing.

I don't think bi-partisanship is dead, just endangered.

And while I'll admit that I liked Clinton better, I kinda stopped caring about the nomination in February sometime. And with my 'turn-off the TV' thing going right now, I care even less--it's not constantly in my face, it's avoidable and doggone it if I don't feel better!

All that aside, McCain makes me sad, Ron Paul is creepy and I have never not voted (on purpose. there was this absentee ballot mix-up once, but, eh) and I've only written in one name, for a local election and it was a real name and I wouldn't do a fake name or a write-in for a national...but that's just me.

I realize that the system is flawed, I realize that some people, like H., feel like their voices are not heard anyway, so why bother, but I simply cannot do that.

As screwed up as it is, it's what we've got, we shouldn't change anything in an election year and some people don't even have half of what we do.

So, I'm going to keep on voting and keep on writing random emails (maybe even letters) and just deal.
