Well, we got the inevitable news today that 2 out of 3 of our girls need braces. Can any of you give reviews, thoughts. experiences etc about Toothman & Barra and Drake? Any info that will help us decide who to consult with will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

We used Dr. Drake for both our children and he was great.

I had the opportunity to use both Dr. Drake and Dr. Barra with my boys. My only complaint (this goes back to 1996) with Dr. Drake was that certain procedures were done on certain days and times. My oldest usually lost a day of school because of the travel time (from St. Thomas) to his office and then when the work was done it was too late to head back to school. With Dr. Barra (this is around 2000) the appointments were made at our convenience. So needless to say all the appointments were usually after school hours. The only appointments that had to be scheduled in the morning were when the braces were put on and then when they were taken off.

My son received his braces about 6 months ago. We use Dr. Barra, who was recommend to us by our Dentist. We have had no problems, plus we had a problem on the weekend called the afterhours number and within 5 minutes received a call back and 30 minutes later my son was sitting in the office getting the problem fixed. I would recommend Dr. Barra to anyone.
