Today, my son and I visited a bike shop in Chambersburg on Washington Street. My 13 year old is dying to have a pricy Merrico BMX...they run $300-500. The salesman approached us and I inquired about the construction differences between this type of bike and a Huffy from a Big Box store...to this mom...a bike is a bike. As he began to educate me, we were interrupted by someone who apparently worked there with a cordless phone to answer a question someone had about a Huffy bike. Without a word, he took the call, THEN proceeded to help another customer who had brought in two bikes for repair. I stood there in shock over the lousy customer service! Has this guy never heard of, "please take a number and I can call them back, I am with a customer", or "Sir, can you give me a moment to finish up with this customer." I was extrememly irritated-I guess they don't need my money, so I will take my cash elsewhere. I see there was an earlier topic thread on the lousy customer service in Chambersburg...what's up with this? |

| Things like this happen EVERY day, similiar in nature. I could write you a book as well as many others. In this particular case of yours, I would do the same thing as you are doing...go somewhere else. I don't know if you are familiar with Chambersburg, but there is a good bike shop on Wayne Avenue. It's been there for years because we got our kids bikes there. good luck. |
