I want to watch the extraction, but the fire police look cranky.

The boy is tickled (he took the pictures)

When we walked up, I kept hearing some guy (the driver?) say he didn't know it was going to happen....Guess he never learned his numbers and didn't know what all those street signs and funny figures painted on the bridges meant.

Someone at Sheetz was talking about it and some employees said they toold him not to go that way, that he wouldn't fit.

In situations such as these it makes you wish for harsher punishments...

45, those are very good pictures, I hope you encourage the young man to do more photo taking. Really good compensation, showing the max. height really set it off.

On Saturday, I sat behind a tractor trailer who took a full minute to crawl under the RR bridge on Lincoln Way between 4th St. and the Professional Arts Building.

I was annoyed then, but in light of Chel's pictures, it was probably the more prudent approach.

The trailer was along the side of the road when I went to work this morning; they were pulling the goods out of the back and getting ready to tow it.

Man, that driver is in biiiiiiiig trouble.

There have been at least 2 other times where a rig has tried to travel that way and stopped, having to call an officer to direct traffic while they back up... but this just shouldn't have happened.
There are signs everywhere!

And it isn't like there are not any other routes to get to where he was going!

The same goes for the bridge on Lincoln Way between 4th St. and the Professional Arts Building, AnonyMouse.

Personally, I love those Norland Avenue RR bridges. They are the only things keeping the truck traffic low in that area. (And, Yes, I live in that area.)

It has nothing to do with being anti-rig and everything to do with volume of traffic. The intersections are not 'turn friendly' for big trucks and if they were to travel straight down Norland towards Hwy 11, good luck not sitting there for hours waiting for a break in traffic to give them enough time to pull out.

Ah, it's still there, huh?

I forgot to ask H. when he came home if it was still there. (His new job that he lurves has weird hours so he's tuckered when he gets home.)

After reading your comments this morning, the boy has a swollen head and a huge grin!

He thinks he should get my camera, since he takes better pictures...rotten little snot! Laughing

Haha, I saw this on my way to work today, I didn't realize it happened last night. You would have thought it would have been cleared up last night.

He actually has one of those little Aiptek (?) video cameras, a SpyGear mini 'spy' camera, an older digital camera and a few regular 35mm...

If I get a cool camera, he is more than welcome to my Olympus D-565 ---- it's not bad, but the shutter speed seems really slow to me...'course I want an SLR Cool
