Thoughts on the recent story about Shippensburg Park and Recreations Manager Kip Fordney and NO DRIVER'S LICENSE?
Ooooh this should be interesting.... |

Oh where to start?!
I'm not a Ship resident, but this is one of those things you kind of have to dive right into!
Well, I think we can all safely assume that she knew she didn't have a valid driver's license. I suppose she could have received her first license in the 80's and didn't know you had to renew it, but if that's true Ship might have worse problems than her driving gov't vehicles with no lic.
There is going to be alot of finger pointing and eventually, maybe, she'll be fired.
I understand how the witnessing of a crime works and why the police couldn't charge her then. But with photos of the parade, local witnesses and I'm sure there is some record of when she drove and when she didn't; I don't know why they can't charge her now.
Is there really cronyism between the police and other gov't employees? I've never heard of such an animal...not with low level employees anyway. A mayor or governor of something, yeah, but a Parks employee?
So is this the thin green line? Or the leafy wall? _________________ I demand euphoria! |

Don't ya just love small towns?
Especially those people who've never venture out of the area for any length of time to see what the real world has in store. Then those same people often make biased and biggoted remarks without realizing they're doing it!
And yes, nepotism is alive and well and thriving in Ship. If you don't know someone, or aren't related to someone, forget it. I laugh at the follies and then wonder how the little Boro made it as long as it did.
I smell a hornets nest a-coming! |
