Hillary is another Northeastern liberal who is now is serious trouble. She has gone negative on her ads on Obama - and the Clinton machine is in trouble

Hillary is a perfect picture of the modern Democrat party. She is for jacking up our taxes, having the government take over the health care industry, appeasement to terrorists, increasing spending on government handouts and pork projects

What I'm saying is that your post is is full of rhetoric, talking points and regurgitated conservative talk show host rants. It doesn't actually say anything. I can go on rants like that about any politician, but it wouldn't mean I'm speaking intelligently.

So I'm not saying anything, but if you want to use practical examples to back up your accusations, then just be prepared to defend it or at least take examples of the same thing politicians you may be sympathetic to as being guilty of.

If, however, this is merely your opinion, then you're certainly entitled to it and that's that.

Hey go ahead and try to refute that pack of truth. One thing about the left - they never want you to know what they stand for until after they are elected

iIf yiu can list a link where Hillary has said she is OPPOSED to my list of what she has said she is FOR - we would all be interested

Does the truth really bother you that much Coppy?

No, I find the truth to be quite liberating. Which is why I don't blindly attack one person or party based on the realization that politicians all have serious shortcomings. Let's just say I'm a big picture person.

For instance, just off the top of my head, your little list about how you hate Hillary was ended with "increasing spending on government handouts and pork projects." Well, the Bush administration has done both these things significantly. I also don't think we could possibly see eye to eye on welfare. While I do not advocate "government handouts" I do realize that they are and have always been a part of our society and should be handled responsibly. I don't see any conservative ever coming in and eliminating government aid in one fell swoop.

Also, your characterization of the "Democrat party" as you say seems to be shortsighted and extremely general. Many Democrats and Republicans stand for things that don't necessarily categorize the presumed ideology of their party. I find these candidates the most attractive.

I'm simply wary of anyone that comes in spouting off the offensive without actually making a point. We know people like you can't stand democrats, and liberals and especially Hillary. Tell us something we don't know. Who do you support and why do you support them? What issues are important to you? These are the kinds of things we can intelligently respond to.

"Appeasement to terrorists" is not. I strongly support every Democratic candidates foreign policy because I so strongly oppose President Bush's. For you so called "victory" of not being attacked in 6 years, I see hundreds of failures.

You come across as extremely right-wing to the point of being a radical. That would make you extremely difficult to reason with or debate.

I am talking about the Democrats running for President. All of them are for what I listed

As far as the pork and spending, they have rolled over and cut the pork and spending so the bills are signed

I find it interesting the left was attakcing Pres Bush for all the excessive spending (I did as well) when the Republican Congress was doing it. But now that Democrats are doing it, the left blames pres Bush for his vetos - and not the spending and pork in the bills

I don't think this is entirely true, but from listening to the day-in-and-day-out legislation of congress over the past several years, I think you would find a similar "blame game" from both parties and, similarly, pundits from both sides on anything. This is the nature of politics, and not something that is reserved for one party as opposed to the other.

Oh it is true. It seems Democrat spending and pork is fine

Nancy Pelosi spends $16,000 of taxpayer money on flowers in 11 months, and the silence is deafening

I will give the Demcorats credit, they are cutting spending and pork - thanks to Pres Bush finally standing firm on spending

I've found stand-alone statistics like that to be grossly misleading, but I would encourage you to seek out an independent, unbiased news source for information on so-called "pork spending" by the Republican congress since they took over in 1994 and, more specifically, grossly squandered a balanced budget.

I have several citations from independent (or even conservative) sources:

National Review
The CATO Institute
NPR

I know you won't really read these, but, I see what you're saying and now you have to see what I'm saying. It's politics; you can't single out things like this. I mean, I can find out how much Bill Frist spent on toilet paper, but does it really matter? What matters is that a lot of Republicans were implicated in scandals over the past few years, from Jack Abramoff bribes to gay sex. I could the one or two examples that fit MY cause, but I don't really have a "cause." I just want what's best for our nation, and I think right now, what's best is to stop pointing fingers, dividing our country along party lines and try to find some common ground based on facts, logic and common sense.

It seems you have no problem with the Demcrats spending on pork - yet they tell us they have to raise our taxes due to the deficit

Democrats promised they would cut the pork and watch how our tax money is spent. Are you saying - gasp - they lied?

Coppy, I have to go now. It was a pleasure having a civil debate with you - and I am sure we will do it again soon

Have a good night and may the wind at your back never be your own

Chow!

Very Happy

Ah, we may never see eye to eye munchkin but that made me smile so you're off the hook for now. Just to get in the last word, I hate pork spending no matter who's doing it, but I LOVE bacon.

Bless you Coppy! You really made an outstanding effort to keep the discussion civil and focused on verifiable facts, or at least reasoned opinions. I can't imagine it being done better, yet it went nowhere because muchkin isn't interested in engaging in debate. That's a lesson to the rest of us - If Coppy couldn't get it done, who can?

When someone posts baseless accusations then demands that anyone who disagrees prove him wrong, I think the best response is no response. You said it best yourself,
