can someone tell me why it is that when I call probation concerning 3 idiot up the street here running cars in and out every few minutes all day. I know what there doig. And i know theyre on probation, I ve been told that's a was becase tghey are not allowed to work weekends because of bickerinb between the union and the county, suposeddly, union prohibites it due to stqatement in tthere contract, but theywere will ing to work i out with the commissioners. Well what the proglem? It's getting worse out here and you need to send peopld out more than 8:30 to 430 monday until friday I also heard probation submitted an offer so they could work weekends and split shifts, but the county hasn't respondeds/ those two punk like offcers came to by mothers house at least once an week and even o n Christmas. This was a coupld of years ago.
Iguess I just need a direction to go to get rid of these knuckldhdads,
I have half mind to get to the commissioners before anyone else sweetalks them and let them know that I am pretty irrate that I can get someone to repond toa complaimt onCounty Commissions won'tg do a dam thing because they know they are outg.''
If this is alltrue, commissioners need to do what it taked to get these knuckleheads out workign days, night , and yes weekend. make them anoffer to work weekends, and if its them to trying to convice you to let them work, do it, come jp with somenting so they can at least do there job [/img] |

I'm not completely following you.
Who are the punks and what exactly are they doing?
If you've already tried calling other officials, then I don't see how calling the County Commissioners can hurt.
This forum has some pretty creative and resourceful individuals; give them a few days to think on the topic and I'm sure they will give you some good advice. _________________ Nevermind. |

Oh, give me a break. I'm not going to put up with this meaningless garbage posed under the topic name "***." This is bull***t and you know it. Either this is a bot/fake/spam or whatever, or it's some drunk idiot trying to get a rise out of us.
There is no way that anyone can possibly type a message so incoherent and be expected to be taken seriously. If my criticism drives people like this away, so be it.

I was guessing it was a combination of lack of sleep, surplus of alcohol and sausage fingers.
I saw your discussion with munchkin. Honestly, knowing this person has posted coherently before (even if it was only once) and knowing that munchkin repeatedly posted rabid anonymous anti-Dave nonsense; I'm willing to let this person rest and edit before I think about trying to run them off. _________________ Nevermind. |

I didn't realize that they had posted before but I will say this chel; right now, it's 4:45 AM, I'm drunk AND I have sausage fingers. Look at me go!
Seriously, if we want these boards to be a place for relevant discussion, even at 4 AM, then we can't put up with people typing like that. I can type better than that if so drunk I'm dyslexic. |

Oh my, what a little NyQuil will do. Coppy, I assure you that that post was unintentionable and quite embarrassing I have had a very nasty cold/sinus infection for about 4 days now and I took a regular dose of NyQuil before going to bed. I thougt I could post before going to sleep, but apparently not. Not to worry, I won't make that mistake again!
My original vent was to complain about some neighbors down the lane that have more traffic coming in and out of their driveway than WalMart on a Friday night. They are trouble makers and the number of vehicles I see in and out of there each day, increases my suspicions as to what's going on there.
Awhile back I had called the probation department to have them check it out. I know the guy and girl living there are both on probation and party all weekend long. Then one day, during a conversation with one of my other neighbors, they tell me that probation isn't allowed to work after 4:30, on holidays, or on weekends. Supposedly because of contract negotiations with their union.
So I was just wondering if there was any truth to them having restrictions on hours and days, and if so why?
I was also told that they (probation and county) had been trying to work out a comprimise on the matter but it was THE COUNTY holding things up. Doesn't sound right to me. I would think it would be the other way around, thus my writing this post. I'm confused and frustrated because I really want these nasty neighbors to stop.
Oh and by the way, I have decided on Directv. Seems like the best deal. |

Once again I have screwed up.
My apology to Coppy and to Didyouknowthat.
DIDYOUKNOWTHAT---just wanted to let you know that I went with Direct just yesterday. They have a great deal for new customers, but you probably wont read this before they change it. Its only good through December 31!
I don't really want to get into this topic on this thread...that would be hijacking |

Well, that wasn't descriptive at all!
Pork chorizo? Vegan? Pepper stuffed?
Personally, I'm partial to meat, but I've got no problem with seasonings. Mmmmm, flavor.
For the record this was NOT a hijack...it was a detour. _________________ Nevermind. |

QLTM...I just read this thread..chorizo fingers! I suppose I should have asked Coppy!
Look chel, you can teach an old *** (female dog) (without a new puppy) a new trick. QLTM, some more. _________________ Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way.

No need to apologize! Now that I realize your initial post was unintentionally sloppy, the only thing I can do is laugh!
Haha, are you sure it wasn't a Nyquil cocktail. May be a Long Islant Nyquil Tea or a Mojinyquilto?
In any case, I don't have a specific answer to your questions about the probation department. As far as I know, they work on a set schedule and terms of probation vary from person to person. After all, it's the job of the police to enforce laws being broken while probation merely makes sure that the probationee is in check. I'm not sure if cars in and out of a home or their drive constitutes a broken law unless they're violating a noise or disturbance ordinance. In that case, you could probably just report them directly to the police.
More speculation here on my part, don't take this as any kind of advice or understanding of the matter, but I can imagine there there would be a hold up in contract negotiations that have to do with probation officer's hours worked and that would, in fact, be the county's doing. The county works off of a very limited budget and I would argue that more money is allocated to direct law enforcement rather than probation. If funding is so tight for the schools, library system and other public services, then I'd surmise that the law enforcement division is in a similar crunch and that paying probation officers overtime and holiday pay for working extra hours would certainly not be a seen as a priority, especially if that money can be used for direct law enforcement by the police department. This is compounded by the holiday season and an increase in the enforcement of DUI laws and paying more to have more officers available during these times.
Soooo, I would guess that the probation officers are more than willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays but would request overtime/holiday pay for these services. The county just probably doesn't have the funding to do that.
I'm just glad that I don't have some Hickory Farms Summer Sausage Beef Stick fingers. And chel, I only know of one Chorizo, and that's the pork and dried red pepper Chorizo that I know and love. Any other bastardized American versions are unauthentic and not worth commenting on. |
