| Quote: | 2 injured in traffic collision
By MARCUS RAUHUT Staff writer
Two people were injured -- one of them flown to a hospital by helicopter -- after a dump truck and a car collided Wednesday afternoon on Black Gap Road in Greene Township.
The driver of the car was flown from the scene with "moderate" injuries, according to Curtis Bryan of Fayetteville Fire Department.
The dump truck rolled on its side and the driver was taken by ambulance to Chambersburg Hospital for minor injuries, Bryan said.
The cause of the accident and the names of the injured drivers were not released by Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, as of presstime Wednesday.
The accident occurred just before 1 p.m., near 2011 Black Gap Road, as the truck was traveling north on Black Gap Road (Pa. 997) and a Nissan Stanza was traveling south.
Two passengers in the Nissan were not injured, Bryan said. Emergency crews had to extricate the driver of the car but not the two passengers.
The dump truck, owned by Beavertown Block Co. of Middleburg, was carrying sand.
A portion of Black Gap Road remained closed for several hours as crews raised the truck and cleared the road of sand. |
For those interested parties here are some more pictures from yesterday's incident.

Love the picts, but suggest you blur the license plate on the car. Could cause problems. _________________ "You know the score pal. If you're not cop, you're little people!" |

Anything in plain view on a pubic road is fair game. However I would have if the driver/passenger were deceased out of respect for the family. However (luckily) this was a non-fatal accident.
Thanks,

Nice pics Brian, but seriously, you should check about the license plate etc as HIPPA law has language about ANYTHING that could ID the patient as being a violation.
Just trying to lend some advice from my end. _________________ Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and like it, never really care for anything else thereafter. |

Thank you for your response. Not trying to spark an argument or anything but:
1. HIPPA rules do not apply to any press entities

Source: http://www.gannett.com/go/newswatch/2004/august/nw0820-7.htm
2. I am a civilian taking photos in a public place of public events (same laws that protect taking pictures of people on a crowded street and publishing it without asking for everyones consent).
However, you both have made me think about the issue and for sake of respect I will blur out any civilian (non emergency-vehicle) tags shown in the future.
Thanks,

I agree with Brian. Hippa law does not apply to press. In fact, I believe it only applies to the health care industry.
Personally Brian, I don't think you should blur anything out. What is the big deal if someone's license plate shows (unless maybe if it's a fatal)? Give us the real deal - not some sanitized version presented just because some people are going overboard with this whole privacy thing!
This is just another example of how no one tells it like it is in today's society because everyone's afraid of getting sued. It's dangerous. | Frankly, if anyone is concerned about personal privacy, then they should much more concerned about our current president and administration than local press or photos. |

Bobo,
I luv you tude Bro and I too believe in the "tell it the way it is" theory!!!
I am not up on the current HIPAA laws and thought at first that Brian was associated somehow with a fire-ems dept and if that was/ is the case, then HIPAA would apply.
Brian, you've provided some of th best quality pics I've seen for awhile and please, please continue !! _________________ Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and like it, never really care for anything else thereafter. |
