Should we have additional forums for the more populated and larger municipalities such as Greene, Guilford, etc?
I can see the C-burg forum getting rather large and difficult to follow if you lump the entire area in one forum.
Whatcha ya'll think? |

We will add forums that people request as soon as the number of posts starts picking up. We don't want to have a lot of forums with only a couple of comments each.
We are open to suggestions on new forums. |

I would suggest creating a forum just on news stories reported on the PO website. We can post a link to the story and comment on it, one way or another. I think this would create more of a two-way conversation, rather than just a free-for-all created by the Haloscan comments.
Just a suggestion. |

| Are you talking about just creating an "in the news" forum? We can do that but we thought people would discuss the daily news in the other forums (Chambersburg, county etc.) |

I was thinking just a generic "in the news" type of section, since some news stories, even local, don't just affect a specific community or the county as a whole. Plus maybe a place to discussion national or world news.
When I lived in the Harrisburg area, the place for discussion was PennLive. While there are far more forums there than can actually be useful, I think some of their categories would be a good starting point. Like "Food and Drink" instead of "Cuisine" or a national and state news section, a "Book Club," movie/tv/radio discussions, and local colleges and universities.♦ |

| We may do something like that temporarily, but we are planning to implement a new vendor package in the next couple of weeks that integrates the story comments with the forums. |

So are these boards going to replace the Haloscan comments? |

| There would still be two ways to comment (stories and forums) but the comments all would appear in one place. There are many details to work out. |
