I saw a Taylor for Senate sign out yesterday going into Mercersburg. He's not wasting any time!

I think we need to be seriously concerned about the "no-nonsense" support Jim Taylor is receiving. Unfortunately, his "no-nonsense" involves half truths and conservative rhetoric. He's going to run simply on a platform of being against the currently, Harrisburg establishment (and a promise to not vote for any late-night payraise for himself) and to uphold the same-old, ridiculous, shallow conservative rhetoric we listened to 8 years ago when President Bush was elected.

What's he going to do for our community? Unfortunately, that's a question that too many local voters are unwilling (and could care less) about.

Why not a Democrat? Why not a third-party candidate? Why not a minority? These ARE the questions we should be asking ourselves, but considering our community is far behind modern times in almost every cultural aspect, how can we expect anything different from our local elections?

I mean, geez, I just want to be allowed to buy a six-pack of beer from a distributor. Is that really so much to ask?

Well Hell's bells, If Kauffmann won't run, (That's who I'd want. I think I'll call him and lean on him a bit.) I'LL RUN! Roosevelt was in a wheelchair, he did a darn good job, as can I!

See ya at the polls, guys!

Kauffman would be less divisive thatn Taylor, but he's a GOP toady! Surely, there's someone in between the extremes.

Oh, and I suppose you think I'm kidding? Wink

I have worked with many of our Legislating bodies in my 50,000 hours of volunteer work. I am old enough to know better, young enough to not be on social security (yet). But, I can wear a purple hat, if I want to! Military background; family values; just a tad on the conservative side, but not by much; I am definately a US citizen and a resident of PA, what more could you want in the Senate?

Oh, I don't speed! That say more than the Governor!

OK, so after much discussion my DH has reminded me that I have had 2 heart attacks in as many months. Embarassed Why in the heck would I want to do this to myself? I begrudgingly agreed. He was surprised however, that I would want to be in office, again.

Sorry to dissappoint you Chel. Crying or Very sad

If he won't let you run, he has to let you have a puppy!

http://www.cvas-pets.org/
On left hand side >>Pet Adoption then scroll down to available cats and available dogs (I would have posted the direct link, but didn't want to stretch the thread again)

Will someone good PLEASE adopt the precious little puppies?!!(oh fine, and the cats too.) Especially Kerberos! He's such a handsome well mannered boy. (I can't my kid is too small) Duffield is a friendly baby. Huckleberry is high energy all hound.

No, I am not affliated with CVAS, not that I would mind if I was. I just hate seeing great dogs without people to love.

Okay, back to politics Very Happy
