I Love Boondocks
The episode "Return of the King" is my all time favorite, but tonight's "The S-word" and it's depiction of Ann Coulter as a woman who pretends to be Republican as she bails her thug-style boyfriend out of jail?...HA!
And the armed to the teeth little old white women "Sisters of the Second Amendment"? HA! HA!
And Samuel L Jackson's cameos every once and in awhile as Gin Rummy
DH doesn't (or should I say didn't?) like it when it first aired. I think Huey dreaming of 'telling white people the truth' "May I have your attention, please. Jesus was black and Ronald Reagan was the devil" may have turned him off a bit.
It would be an understatement to say Aaron McGruder is opinionated. I certainly don't agree with everything on the show, but I do love to have my thinking challenged. We all should.
I wish he'd start his comic strip back up though...
Sooooo, who else watch's Boondocks?

Alas, Futurama is now aired on Comedy Central not Cartoon Network.
I heard they're putting together a movie too. _________________ Nevermind. |

Really? I didn't know they switched...but it's been a while since I've watched.
Have you seen the Aqua Teen movie? |

Just bits and pieces. I do intend to one day actually sit down and watch it and several dozen others.
I imagine it is entertaining, no? _________________ Nevermind. |

I have to admit that I haven't watched it the entire way through either, even though I bought it as soon as it came out. I'll get on that, and let you know |

I recently got both seasons of The Venture Bros. and they're both incredible. If you like comics and superhero stuff, this one will have you rolling. I really hope the network greenlights another season.
Actually, that's my problem with Adult Swim. So many of the shows inherently appeal to a small market segments, so many of them never get past a season or two. (Squidbillies springs to mind here...)
But it really blows with serials like the Venture Bros. Those guys have a multi-arc story going strong over those two seasons, and it'd be a real shame if it ends so far from resolution. I guess they should have been less ambitious, but the potential is what grabs you...
Oh, and Cookie, it's good to see you back 'round these parts! _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |

Adult Swim is...is...
WONDERFUL
Torgo, I swear they've started in with new Squidbillies. They aired one after Boondocks the other night I had not seen.
(Computers take over, end all of our problems, make the world a better place---- turns out their gay so they end up in the trash heap---was that a rerun?) _________________ Nevermind. |

a friend of mine and i used to hang out on fridays and end up staying up very late watching adult swim. 2-3 a.m. funnnnnnny. and if it was a rerun, we'd just hop over to comedy central or sci fi for a dr. who rerun. |

Dunno, I'm not sure I've seen all of them. But that's a new one to me...
[geek]
On another note, I recently picked up the first season of Justice League Unlimited, and it too is really good superhero fare. Really well done...
Of course, I was a Marvel guy all my life, so I spent much time on Wiki trying to assimilate the DC lore as I was watching... Lol another time sink, it's, like, an enormous amount of information...

"Timesink" was the term we always used in Everquest... Nothing like watching a monitor for 72 hours for a random pop of a mob you need for stage six of a 24-stage quest... And then half the time some other guild would kill-steal it after you've been awake for three days straight...
*shudder
Anyway, I love comics and gaming and collectible card games and role playing, so obviously...
