Okay, let's play a game!
I'll toss out a movie quote. First person to correctly identify the movie it came from, and the character who said it, gets to toss out their own. And the chain continues from there...
Be as specific as possible. For example, in addition to "Holy Grail," the line "RUN AWAY!" can apply to any number of films. So try to pick something iconic, for lack of a better word at the moment. (Damn you, Stone Ruination IPA!!!)
Also, be honorable. If you have to refer to IMDB to answer the question, you've already lost! However, if you have a quote in mind, but can't remember EXACTLY how it was worded or the name of the character who said it, feel free to do your research!
Finally, confirmation from the person who provided the quote might be necessary. If there's any doubt, wait for that person to say yay or nay before supplying the next quote?
Okay, so here we go:

Crud. You caused me to have to think. And to narrow it down to one speaker...I'm more of a witty exchange type of person.

No, I give up.
Wishing now I hadn't made that crack about IMDB, because I've been sitting here struggling to resist the temptation to 30 min or so... _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |

You did good.
When I was younger, I would listen to the album every day after school while doing my chores (that and Steve Martin's 'Comedy is Not Pretty')
Adrian Cronaur (and I probably butchered the spelling)
I insist you go to IMDB. Better yet, just buy a bunch of clearance movies and make a weekend of it.
LoL ---Listen to me!!!
You'd probably kick my rear in more popular movies _________________ I demand euphoria! |

I don't remember it getting much more popular in the 80s than that movie. No, I'd probably kick your arse in very obscure movies than no one except uber-geeks care about anyway.
But in the interest of keeping this doable for now, how about this:

Dear Torgo,
I suppose I must wait for a hint. Even though I have no clue. _________________ The Anti-Life Equation= Loneliness + Alienation + Fear + Despair + Self-worth / Mockery / Condemnation / Misunderstanding x Guiltx Shame x Failure x Judgment; N=Y Where Y=Hope and N=Folly, Love = Lies, Life = Death, Self = Dark Side |

It's the original Star Wars.
The space face off with the bow tie fighters.
R2 was chillin in the back (when I first saw it I was worried he was going to fall out)
One of the leaders...
Blue, Gold, Chartruese??
C'mon.
I know there are real geeks, dorks and nerds on these boards, as opposed to my faux nerdiness. _________________ I demand euphoria! |

Yes, the first one, by Red Leader when he starts his strafing run at the Death Star...
But maybe we should drop the "who said it" component in the interest of moving things along? If you know the context, feel free to let everyone know, but if you're sure you have the right movie, just go ahead and start the next quote.
Edit: Close enough Chel, your honor your honor... _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |
