I caught sweet sixteen once. I kept hoping it was a joke.
Never seen the Hills. Never want to. 'Course I don't really think I'm part of the target audience. _________________ Nevermind. |

That is a great example, which leads me to wonder if MTV is indeed Bad TV personified. They have made a career for people out of being on reality TV.
I remember a day when MTV had programming that I enjoyed, Headbangers Ball, 120 minutes, you know, music videos.
I think I got too old. _________________ The Anti-Life Equation= Loneliness + Alienation + Fear + Despair + Self-worth / Mockery / Condemnation / Misunderstanding x Guiltx Shame x Failure x Judgment; N=Y Where Y=Hope and N=Folly, Love = Lies, Life = Death, Self = Dark Side |

The Real World and Matt Pinfield ruined MTV for me. Of course, the The Real World ended up ruining most of television in general, we just couldn't see it at the time.
And yes, anyone who complains about MTV not showing music videos anymore is by definition old.
I do all my watching of television programming from DVD these days. Sad. _________________ "The Master would not approve..." |

I know I'm old when I love VH1 Classic.
That channel is golden!
Do you think Matt Pinfield is actually an alien wearing human clothing? _________________ The Anti-Life Equation= Loneliness + Alienation + Fear + Despair + Self-worth / Mockery / Condemnation / Misunderstanding x Guiltx Shame x Failure x Judgment; N=Y Where Y=Hope and N=Folly, Love = Lies, Life = Death, Self = Dark Side |

Maybe being institutionalized? Pardon my zinger Brit Brit. I guess that is still on topic, since she had such a dreadful tv show. (Which I can only assume, as I would not watch that either.)
As an aside, I am glad someone is trying to help that girl. I just hope they have her best interests in mind.
I think we can all agree on the awful nature of MTV in general.
Maybe I can get some positive focus on shows that were Bad TV, yet we loved.
I personally could not get enough of Saved By the Bell when I was in College. I knew it was drek, but watched 2x a day non the less.
