In recent days Hillary has lost the backing of a few super delegates while Obama has gotten 12 new pledges.

It is impossible for Hillary to win enough delegates to win the nomination. She is slightly behind in delegates won and would need 75% of the remaining delegates to win the nomination. She may not win till Texas and Ohio and even if she does win both she will probably still be behind in delegates and far short of the 2025.

So if it is decided at the convention and given to hillary, The candidate who won more states, garnered more delegates, and clearly energized the Democratic Party more than anyone in recent memory has the door slammed in his face by party leaders.

"Oh, and he's black. Which means that cries of racism and Hillary "stealing the election" from the poster boy of the New Democratic Party will reach a fever pitch. Right or wrong, Mr. Obama is now perceived as the new JFK, a young, charismatic uniter hailing from the Land of Lincoln. To have a Clinton, with her image of a snake-oil salesman, stealing the nomination would be tantamount to Democratic Party suicide."

Walrus, I recognize your support for Obama. I apologize again for teasing you in a previous posts, I should have been more sensitive to your feelings.
But frankly, some Obama supporters make me feel a little bullied. I do not respond well to the "pick my candidate or I'm taking my ball and going home" attitude. If they want to sit home and pout if they do not get their way then maybe they aren't 'grown' enough to be voting in the first place. (And no, my 'grown' comment has nothing to with age.)

And If they want to call me, and others like me, racist for not supporting Obama, go right ahead and alienate more people. It won't get them very far.
