I totally agree with cookieclaygirl!
There is no comparison what so ever!
But maybe she was referring to the sub tickets taht the schools sell and they are from Hamilton Heights.
Now I am craving a chipped ham hoagie!! _________________ I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

Hamilton Heights does have a strong and loyal fan base, sadly I am not among them. I stopped in for bottled water, saw the crowds at the hoagie counter and made mental note to return. Sorely disappointed - mediocre lunch meat on soft bread roll. They reminded me of hoagies served in the high school cafeteria - before our taste buds experienced anything better.
See you only had the water not the food!
Have a great weekend! _________________ I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

I can't go to Subway.. I'm pretty sure that their uniformly-shaped meats were a liquid at some point or another.
I like Quizno's. What can I say, they offer something different. If a local place could offer a baja chicken sub with bacon, cilantro, smoky barbecue sauce, and a pepper bar... I'm there. Until then, I will unapologetically patronize Quizno's.
I don't believe Fox's Pizza is open yet. But I'm seriously dumbfounded that we're getting yet another pizza place in Chambersburg (27 and counting). |

I don't believe they are open yet. Does anyone remember the Fox's pizza that use to be in Mercersburg.
A side note....Caretta's has the best around strombolis. We have been trying to fing a yummy one and they have won our taste buds. Tried their pizza and it is ok. _________________ I have this theory that chocolate slows down the aging process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

| There are two Caretti's and I can make the professional proclamation that the Caretti's in the Norland shopping center has better pizza than the Caretti's by Wal-Mart. |

For the THIRD time I did buy and consume a hoagie from Hamilton Heights. Why you continue to think I'm being unfair is beyond me. Perhaps you need a detailed explanation: I stopped in for bottled water, noticed the crowds waiting to order hoagies."Ummmm something must be mighty good here". So the next week I purposely stopped in and bought a hoagie. Did NOT like it.
And you did ATTACK me, unjustly I might add. I've been polite toward you and everyone else on this forum so I don't understand your vitriol.
If we all liked the same food there would be no purpose in discussing it. And should you or any one else not like a restaurant that I enjoy I would respect that opinion and get on with my life.
And just because I express a negative opinion about a place isn't going to keep people, like Coppy for instance, from going in to judge for themselves.

Pepper makes a good point; and I will try their hoagies... I promise.
I'll say this; this past week, I got some high quality, Boar's Head rare roast beef at giant and coupled that with some picante aged provolone cheese. I topped this with some red onion, roasted red peppers, a creamy horseradish sauce and a barbecue sauce that I made myself.
In other words; I make some great sandwiches. If it's turkey and American process cheese with mayo, then I probably won't be impressed. Not to be snooty; I love all kinds of food, but I do like variety. I'm a foodie. I'm not anti-process cheese; I just don't see the point. I'm not anti turkey sub... I just know that dollar for dollar, I can easily make several sandwiches with better quality meat, cheese, bread and condiments available to me at a grocery store.
A sandwich dispensary should be serving me prepared food that is as good or better than food I can make at home, taking into account both time and money.

Pepper,
Welcome to the forums. We are all glad you're here! (Really.)
I do not actually know Me!!!!!!!!, or anyone else in the forum, in RL, but from observation, I think you can count on the fact she will not apologize or admit when she is wrong. Which doesn't mean she is a bad person. She's just stubborn and maybe a tad feisty. _________________ Nevermind. |
