It was a Peter Jackson movie.
How can you say that?
PJ turned an outdated (thanks to Harry Potter) book series which would other wise have been left behind (too long, harder to digest,not as fun as Harry, etc.) and turned it into a trilogy of movies which the Harry Potter generation can enjoy.
His two movie rendition of the Hobbit will be aweseomely outrageous.

I like Deep Impact more. As a whole, the movie was awful. But compared to Armageddon, I decided it was better.
Because I didn't have to throw up at the end. |

I liked Deep Impact better for the more human take on the situation. Armageddon is just a popcorn movie.

Anything done by Irwin Allen at the time was really stretching and enhancing the art of movie making. The cinematography was really breathtaking. Then BAM enter the CGI and the directors leave it up to computers to do all the work. I yearn for a good old fashion disaster movie.

What is THE essential disaster movie? I remember being terrified of those swarming killer bee movies that they played on television, but don't know any titles?
