Plus, Rip Torn, the guy from Kids in the Hall, and Garry Shandling are all hysterical. |
We must have similar tastes. I loved the Larry Sanders Show, love Curb Your Enthusiasm and I'll take the "Cringe Comedy" one step further and say I would go a day without food to have Strangers With Candy back on reruns!
We dropped HBO this year but I've heard the new show they have about going to the shrink, In Treatment, is excellent.

The terminator tv show isn't bad. I mean, it's not exactly good... but it's certainly a nice relief from nonstop reality tv. How many people seriously spend two hours watching American Idol or Biggest Loser? Two hours? That's two hours (at least 50 minutes of which are commercials) that you can never, ever, ever get back. Is it really worth the 1.5 minute conversation at work the next day? And then the next night it's a one hour results show? How long have they been doing this? Do people know how much they can do in two hours? Even if they just want to stare at the TV, why not watch a good movie or something.
I know I'm being preachy, particularly after opening with the Terminator show.
I just really noticed tonight that American Idol is on for two hours tomorrow at the same time the Biggest Loser is on for two hours. I can't wrap my head around this, I thought all the reality show people were watching Idol; but do you mean to tell me that there are some people who are watching two hours of the Biggest Loser... instead?
I'll tell ya who the biggest losers are.... it'll only take me 2 seconds. You can spend the rest of your two hours watching Idol while eating something low carb. |

LOTS. It's unbelievable. Ratings skyrocket when Idol is on right before the news. |
