We had some confusion this morning that led to the deletion of a question about avatars, so we wanted to both address that specific question, and provide a place to settle any future avatar questions in a new thread.
Me!!!!!!!!: Sorry about the loss of your question, ie, can you have your avatar ability restored. The answer is yes, a second chance seems reasonable in this case. But we'll also take the opportunity to state some caveats about avatar content.
1. No profanity, please.
2. No nudity or inappropriate close-ups or emphasis on any particular part of the body, clothed or otherwise.
3. Violent or bloody GIFs should be avoided.
4. Use your head. This forum is not age-restricted. Children can and do spend time here.
Some avatars, such as hotdog's wiener dog entendre, may be subject to interpretation on the part of moderators. We have several, and they all may have differing ideas of what's offensive and what's not.
We recommend you play it safe. Even though we're restoring Me!!!!!!!!'s avatar privileges, we're doing it mostly because his or her's sanction came down before we'd had an opportunity to formally explain some guidelines. We don't plan to make exceptions in the future.
That said, have fun with them, and please stop by this thread to post any further avatar questions! |
