DKA, what's the deal with Floor2Films?

Are you the guy who sings "Solsbury Hill" as Sean Connery?

Spotted in today's P.O.

Quote:
SATURDAY
- Chambersburg

International dinner, 4:30 p.m. doors open 5 p.m. dinner, Jensen Dining Hall, Lenfest Commons, Wilson College; hosted by college's Muhibbah Club; $12 adults, $5 students and ages 6 to 12, $1 ages 6 and younger; 262-2776 or http://www.wilson.edu.

I have to encourage anyone who does not have concrete plans to try this out. The Muhibbah Club (Moo-hee-bah) used to hold these twice a year, (March and October) then, because of heavy course loads, went down to once. (Hopefully they will return to the orginal schedule soon.)

It is a buffet style presentation with the international students preparing dishes from their home countries (they begin Friday and toil through the night) I cannot promise that all dishes will appeal to your tastebuds, but I haven't found an entree I didn't like! I was iffy on the desserts, but son and hubby loved them all. The times I've gone (I missed last year) there were also performances (a few short slide shows, a few dances by the South Korean students, some of the Korean students writing your name on fine paper in Korean characters---I believe there was once a dance by a Czech student) Last time I went the Irish student had Irish coffee prepared.

Dress is casual, though some do dress up. My only complaint is that they run out of tea and lemonade (and even the water sometimes!)quite quickly so you may want to bring a water bottle to be safe (--there is a water fountain outside the dining room.) And the line to buy tickets at the door can sometimes back up and unless they've changed, it's cash only. (Coppy)

What I'm trying to say is it's good! It isn't stuffy, the food is good, it's possible to learn something (only if you want to!) and even my hyperactive son and bumpkin husband enjoyed themselves immensely! (As have every other person I've dragged to one of these dinners.)
We went to each dinner for a few years, but sadly missed last years and I doubt I will make this one.

So please go and have fun and stuff your face for me.

It sounds really great chel, thank you for pointing this out. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can make it this year either, but I will mark it on my calendar for next year!

hehe...true.

WoW is missing out on a money making goldmine (even more than what they have now)...perhaps a "dating" quest or informal mixers...

as for the bands, well, at least we have murlocs.

rofl...

Everytime I think about trying out World of Warcrack, I read your posts and get all intimidated! Guess I'll just play Dungeon Siege, NeverWinter Nights and others like all by myself and watch DH play Oblivion on the Xbox.

We are going to have to get a Wii eventually (no matter what H. says) since it looks like the newest Destroy All Humans will be for the Wii. So DAH AND Zelda? add a few more titles and it's a given.

WoW scares the crap out of me; it looks completely awesome but I have to admit that I went through a moderately addictive phase with Asheron's Call in the early days of MMORPG and I'm afraid that I'd probably turn into one of those Korean guys that die sitting at the computer for 2 weeks straight.

Yes, I'm a nerd too. Cool
